Important - about Christabel

OH! Much better news that I was expecting, thank you, Odessa!

That ex of hers really needs some comeuppance.

Positive news. This is great. Not stoppin' the candles and prayers yet tho. :rose:

That ex of hers really needs some comeuppance.

What he needs is his head squeezed like a pimple.

Using her kids as a weapon is about as low as one can get.

So you're the infamous Stella Omega.
She is quite fond of you and has told me stories about some of your challenges.

She is still in the hairy, scarey, deep woods. But, if things go like the Doctors say they will, this will be over and done with soon. However, do not doubt we came very close to losing this vivacious, gracious, woman today.

As she is fond of saying - "They haven't killed me yet!" and I have no doubt she will be back here soon enough, getting into arguements, agreeing, laughing, crying and improving her writing even more.

Now I really must go to bed. I do have to work unfortunately.

Warm regards,
Odessa

Keeping Christabel and all in my prayers still, I'm glad there has been some good news. :rose:

Still in my thoughts and prayers.

(My dad used to pull that crap, too. Using us as a weapon. It's a sign of real immaturity and insecurity.)

Yup mom used to try to pull that crap against my dad [Dad won custody]. Hell I remember one time, she tried to use our grandparents against us, even went so far as to go to my brothers school and try to pull him out for the day to spend the day convincing him that he should go with her. The vice principal stepped in, looked her straight in the eye and simply said "Ma'am, this is a school. This is not your battleground and I am not about to allow you to bring these problems into this school. This is a place that should be a sanctuary against them and he should be allowed to come here knowing that he is here to learn, not to worry about his parents divorce here."

ETA: That same sort of rule applies here. A hospital is not a battleground. By acting as he has, he has shown a lack of judgement in care for his children. And for that, I am sure he has received plenty of bad karma. Actions like his, only will build resentment from his children that will begin to show in a few years.

You know, I really had no idea that migraines could be so dangerous. I thought they were just very bad headaches. I didn't even know they knew what caused them or that they had any physiological effects.

I'm sorry I didn't see this before. Wish Christa well and tell her to get back here as soon as possible :rose:

Same here. I knew they can be the precursor to strokes if they're caused by an an aneurysm, but I would have thought that if this were the problem that they'd have found that with head CTs by now.

They are nothing short of hell. Nothing puts life on hold like a real migraine. They range from miserable and debilitating to deadly. Most are not life-threatening. They only make you wish you could die. Others can cause damage beyond belief.

With the headaches come nausea, general malais, fatigue, numbness in face and limbs, tingling, vision disruptions and even temporary blindness, vicious mood swings, tenderness in joints, scalp and surface of skin, disorientation, mental disconnection and a general desire to lash out at the world for all the pain -- if only the pain didn't make that impossible. Some are over within minutes, others last for weeks.

To Christa: Hang in there, doll. We're all pulling for you. I know there's an answer out there for you and it's coming soon. Be well.

It prevented her from going to Chicago this year.

Here is her post in late March on that topic and some of what the doctors were going to be doing. :rose:

Like hell baby doll
but as I was telling some one just a moment ago----
Everyday above ground is a good one :)

they are going to be doing more studies of my brain, brain stem, cervical and thoracic spine this coming week - the doc is very concerned - especially since these meds seriously mucked with every function I have- but mainly my heart and kidneys....still cannot walk more than three feet without losing balance and hurting myself. And the endless never ending incessant I ought to be used to it by now gad nabit migraine.... I keep PRAYING HOPING GROVELING for a reprieve a cure or something -

but

stands here -
furious with body
and so damned upset that my hopes and plans are for naught

I must bow - out
and accept with some semblance of grace that I simply cannot tax myself nor my body in such a way as to travel and party and have a better time than looking at green grey hospital walls or the pale blue walls and shuttered windows of my bedroom. I have been living in a twilight world of no music nor sound raised above mere speech. Where the flickering of a candle sends me to my knees.

It sucks. Almost as bitter as seville oranges.
I am writing Sarah in just a moment.

I ask that you ALL Have an incredible time and Have A Ciroc Vodka Shot for me. And if we should meet one day - you can compare the kisses given for me with the real thing :)
