Impeachment Thread

^^^

Silly Jack, totally uninformed on the subject. Friggin' pitiful. Today you had another yard of your asse ripped off by the defense team.:rolleyes:

And yet you don't produce a single word of evidence to prove he's wrong.

He's probably still holding out hope that they'll find something on the Bidens.

You mean like his totally unqualified kid getting paid absurd amounts of money for no demonstrable reason whatsoever?

Yea...that's all that's needed :)

magicalmoments writes: "And the defence team had several yards of their collective arses ripped off by Bolton."

If John Bolton suddenly announced that he was entering the Democratic Party's presidential race, he could probably win in Iowa! I mean, look at all of the nobodies that he'd be facing! And I'll bet he'd win in New Hampshire, as well!

YDB95 writes: "And yet you don't produce a single word of evidence to prove he's wrong"

The House Democrats have shown us that "evidence" is overrated - Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, & Nancy Pelosi actually passed TWO articles of impeachment against President Trump WITHOUT evidence and/or witnesses! The problem is, now that they've sent those articles to the U.S. Senate for trial they've suddenly discovered that they NEED evidence and/or witnesses to make their case!

JackLuis writes: "Trumpublicunts don't need no evidence, shit fire, Donnie tells 'em what to think."

President Trump is going to WIN in the U.S. Senate, Jack - I know it, you know it, everybody knows it! But you can console yourself with Nancy Pelosi's words about Trump & former President Bill Clinton: she says they've both been "impeached forever!"

Ex-Trump chief of staff John Kelly: ‘I believe’ John Bolton and the Senate ‘should hear’ from him

John Kelly, a former chief of staff to President Donald Trump, told a crowd in Sarasota, Florida on Tuesday that he believes former national security adviser John Bolton’s claim that Trump directly linked releasing military aid to Ukraine with launching investigations into former Vice President Joe Biden.

“If John Bolton says that in the book I believe John Bolton,” Kelly said, and then added that “every single time I was with [Bolton]… he always gave the president the unvarnished truth.”

Kelly also said that it was important for the Senate to hear from witnesses so American voters could get the full picture of what happened with Trump’s purportedly “perfect” Ukraine call.

If the House was using "Second Hand Info" to impeach the PeeResident, then we should hear from the "First Hand" witnesses, ie: Bolton, Pompeo, Pence, Mulveney, Giuliani and Trump himself. No one else can provide the "REAL TRUTH".
:):):)

McConnell is now saying he doesn't have the votes anymore to block witnesses.

John Bolton told GOP donors that Trump is ‘mentally unstable’: report

A new report from Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman sheds some more light on former national security adviser John Bolton’s decision to blow up President Donald Trump’s top defense against impeachment.

According to Sherman’s sources, Bolton has told Republican donors that he believes Trump is “mentally unstable” and worries that the president could pull the United States completely out of NATO if he wins a second term.

A source close to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says that America’s top diplomat may even get into the action as a character witness against Bolton.

“Pompeo and Bolton were at war with each other during the administration,” the source explained. “Pompeo thought that Bolton was constantly trying to undercut him and the president.”

Nonetheless, Bolton’s revelation has made it all but certain that the Senate will call him to testify at the president’s impeachment trial.

“[Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is] resigned to the fact there will be witnesses,” one Republican tells Sherman.

:D

Experts explain how Trump team’s defense against the Bolton bombshell is blowing up in the president’s face

Should former National Security Adviser John Bolton testify in President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial? This question has loomed over the entire proceedings, given Bolton’s key role in the events in question, but it garnered heightened urgency when a report broke recently in the New York Times revealing that the ex-Trump aide would likely confirm the core of the Democrats’ case against the president.

It still seems Republicans may succeed in quashing any demands for witnesses like Bolton. But as Trump and his attorney responded to the release of Bolton bombshell, they actually strengthened the case for having him testify rather than weakening it. Even if the GOP successfully brings the trial to a swift close, their having accidentally strengthened the case for witnesses may hurt the legitimacy of the Senate’s proceedings and undermined Trump’s inevitable claims of exoneration.

In short terms, "They're FUCKED!"

:)

John Bolton is ‘annoyed as hell’ at how Trump is coming after him: former RNC chairman

For analysis MSNBC’s Chris Matthews interviewed form Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

“Right now Bolton is two things, one, he’s annoyed as hell because of how the president is sort of coming at him,” Steele explained.

“More importantly, men and women that he’s been in the trenches with for over 30 years here in Washington, now taking Trump’s side over his and so he’s ready to chomp at the bit and he has something to say,” he concluded.

Poll:
A. I love Trumpikins!

B. Trump's Guilty!

C. This Fucker's Nutz!

WHat do you think he's got to say?:)

From Wonkette Live Blog:

3:00: Next question from Brian Schatz and Dianne Feinstein to the House managers, and it is, if Trump was committing NOT CRIME or did not have criminal intent, would there be evidence of that, and did Trump's lawyers present any evidence like that, LOL just kidding, we know they did not.

Jason Crow says yes, you'd think maybe SOMEBODY would say Trump was committing NOT CRIME, but none of his people said that. John Bolton has thoughts about it!

3:03: Next question is from Lindsey Graham and it is how is Donald Trump so awesome at golf and so sexxxxy at the same time

Haha just kidding, his question is if Barack Obama had evidence that Mitt Romney's son had done bad corruptions in a foreign country, would Barack Obama have the authority to ask the foreign country to investigate that.

Adam Schiff says Graham's hypothetical is dumb as fuck, but says sure, let's pretend it's not. If Obama had asked a foreign leader to target his political opponent, IT WOULD BE BAD, YOU DUMB AS FUCK IDIOT.

SCHIFF: Are we really having this conversation right now? Are you goddamn kidding me?

3:08: SCHIFF: It's REALLY gross also too because there is literally no merit to Trump's Kremlin conspiracy theories about the Bidens. Also remember how he didn't even care about an actual investigation, just wanted the announcement? Yeah that.

:D:D:D
This Impeachment Trial is doing well! I do like the skinny guy they brought in who seems to be a lawyer. He still as full of shit as Suck-u-Low or Starr though.:)

‘Digging their own graves’: Conservative warns GOP will get slaughtered in 2020 if they block John Bolton

Conservative Washington Examiner columnist Quin Hillyer has issued a dire warning for Republicans: Call witnesses at President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial or risk getting slaughtered in the 2020 election.

“Senate Republicans are digging their own graves,” he writes at the start of his latest column. “If Republicans do not allow at least a few witnesses into the Senate impeachment trial, they will pay a heavy political price if evidence emerges later proving deep corruption by President Trump.”

Keep digging, Trumpublicunts! :)

Fox News legal analyst: Senate Republicans are ‘suppressing the truth’ if they don’t call John Bolton

Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano has penned a scorching new op-ed warning Republican Senators that they will be derelict in their constitutional duties if they acquit President Donald Trump without calling any witnesses.

In his column, Napolitano argues the president’s legal team has been spouting utterly bogus legal theories about how the impeachment process is supposed to work as a way to deflect from the fact that the president has engaged in unprecedented obstruction of Congress.

“If the Senate is faithful to the Constitution, then Trump’s trial will be a search for the truth,” he concludes. “And those offering to tell the truth should be welcomed, not pilloried. How can the Senate be faithful to the Constitution if it suppresses the truth?”

They can't handle the TRUTH!

Did Trump's defense team just argue
that Trump is mentally ill ?

‘I want to be elected. I think I’m a great president.
I think I’m the greatest president there ever was.
And if I’m not elected, the national interest
will suffer greatly,’ ” Dershowitz said.

“That cannot be an impeachable offense.”

Trump’s Lawyers Seem to Think He’s Incapable of Not Lying

http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/02/trumps-lawyers-seem-to-think-hes-incapable-of-not-lying.html

What exactly was going on in Trump’s head when he
hatched the scheme to withhold aid to Ukraine?

"...if senators really want to discern Trump’s motives,
there can be no serious question that the best way to do
that would be to hear from Trump himself. Any trial lawyer
or criminal investigator will tell you that the best evidence
of a person’s state of mind is his own words, and if Trump
, senators could judge his credibility for themselves.

Trump has made his anger and disdain toward the impeachment
process clear, and it’s likely that he would decline the Senate’s
invitation to testify. After all, the White House rejected a request
for Trump’s lawyers to appear before the House Judiciary Committee
in December. But Trump’s refusal to testify would itself be an
important data point for senators to consider, and would make
the need to hear from witnesses like Bolton more acute.
In the end, the Senate cannot seriously claim to want to
understand Trump’s motivations if senators don’t at least
try to hear from Trump himself.

Trump lashed out at Schiff, the lead impeachment manager,
writing on Twitter on Thursday that his congressional district
is “in terrible shape.”

“He is a corrupt pol who only dreams of the Impeachment Hoax,”
Trump said. “In my opinion he is mentally deranged!”

In his tweet, Trump referenced a Fox News interview earlier
Thursday with Drew Pinsky, an addiction medicine specialist
and media personality who had previously said he was considering
running against Schiff because of homelessness in his district.

During Thursday’s interview, Pinsky, known as “Dr. Drew,”
said he is “categorically not running” for Schiff’s seat.

It doesn't matter - the House Democrats don't have the BRAINS to convict him!

Jerry Nadler says that the House has made an IRONCLAD CASE proving Trump's guilt - and he even promises that if he and Adam Schiff are given more evidence & more witnesses by the U.S. Senate they can even PROVE IT! But already even senators from their own party are growing bored & restless with their lack of a serious case! And Senators Sanders, Bennet, Warren, & Klobuchar say they NEED to get back to Iowa! This whole thing could very likely be OVER by Superbowl Sunday!

It has NOT a great experience for Nancy Pelosi and her clueless collection of House managers - they couldn't get ANY Republican support for their clown-show act! This impeachment trial was one great experiment in partisan politics, costing the taxpayers of our nation millions of dollars! The backlash against the Democratic Party won't be pretty!

The Center for Disease Control has its work cut out. As if the coronavirus wasn’t a big enough challenge for them, they are about to be facing a massive outbreak of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Both sides of the impeachment battle are signaling expectations of an imminent acquittal. It could come as early as late Friday night or Saturday morning. Certainly before our President delivers the State of the Union Address on Tuesday. Pray for the brave men and women at the CDC in efforts to help those who become tragically afflicted with TDS.

Senate stunned as Schiff reveals DOJ just argued in court that defying subpoenas is an impeachable offense

President Donald Trump’s Justice Department appeared in court Thursday as part of the Houses’ ongoing attempt to enforce subpoenas for information they’ve sought in other cases.

“Schiff stunned the room just now when he informed senators that JUST TODAY, as Trump’s lawyers argue in the Senate the House should’ve gone to court to enforce subpoenas, DOJ lawyers argued in COURT that judges have no place to enforce subpoenas because of the impeachment power,” Crooked Media Brian Beutler.

Keeping their lies straight is HARD!

Adam Schiff: ‘They’ve just undermined their entire argument’ saying Giuliani was acting on foreign policy

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) just pointed out another conflicting argument that President Donald Trump’s lawyers made that takes down their own arguments.

Pat Philbin told the Senate that there was no foreign policy being carried out by a private citizen, specifically speaking to Rudy Giuliani, who was in Ukraine working to get information for the president. Giuliani even went so far as to send a letter to then newly elected Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying he was acting on behalf of, and with the authorization of, the U.S. president.

TDS is bipartisan! Even Philbin is effected!

She ‘knows how to leverage power’: Internet cracks up at ‘fastball’ Elizabeth Warren pitched Roberts on his reputation

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) “went there,” as law professor Jennifer Taub said on Twitter.

During Thursday evening of the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, Warren asked whether the Chief Justice of Supreme Court has lost credibility because he’s participating in a sham impeachment trial.

Andrea Mitchell

@mitchellreports

.@ewarren tosses a verbal grenade into #ImpeachmentTrial by submitting question for #ChiefJusticeRoberts to read out loud: does trial presided over by Chief Justice without witnesses further undermine public confidence in institutions like the Supreme Courts (awkward)

There are no stupid questions, only stupid Republicunts!:)

Time for the acquittal vote, so that the Senate can return to the business of passing legislation to restrict the President's war powers and impose penalties on those who promote false information online.

phrodeau urges: "Time for the acquittal vote"

Exactly right, phrodeau! Time for this whole clown-show of an impeachment to END!

"...the Senate can return to the business of passing legislation..."

I can't help but wonder how long before the House Democrats vote to impeach Trump AGAIN? I mean, it's a completely futile gesture, but we're talking about a political party (the Democrats) that has nothing else! They'll waste years & years and hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to overturn the 2016 election and interfere with the upcoming 2020 election!

Adam Schiff & Jerry Nadler said they passed impeachment in the House of Representatives with OVERWHELMING evidence - but then, after Nancy Pelosi forwarded their two articles of impeachment to the U.S. Senate, they revealed that they needed MORE witnesses and MORE evidence, admitting to the entire country that they had only a half-assed case! They've humiliated their party, and threatened to end Nancy Pelosi's disastrous tenure as Speaker of the House!

Senate scumbags prevail. No Witnesses and no documents allowed!

Fucking fuckers!

Odd that only senators that crossed the party line were two Republicans.

The Democrats really know how to obey orders!

I wonder if the two will get their heads on pikes? I'd guess not, because that was a lie from the outset.
