Hello to the few people lurking around the BB at this hour (2:30 a.m. my time). I've been up for over 24 hours, and am facing my first chance of sleep 13 hours from now. Uugh.

Anyone had Penguins before? They're caffeinated peppermints. Like altoids, but without the chalky aftertaste, plus three of them have the caffeine charge of a Coke. I've had far too many of them in the last day...

Hi Mish...

So why the sleepless stretch? Studying for exams? Crying baby? Three jobs? Cyber love in another time zone?

Dish the dirt, woman!

:)

Nothing earth shattering, just law school. One brief worth 40% of my grade. I saw a woman break down into a sobbing wreck at the library yesterday morning over this, and in an awful way I'm comforted that I haven't reached that point yet.

I just keep reminding myself that I get to take a vacation in August...

Speaking of vacations, I am monumentally jealous that you're living in London, DarlingBri. I was last there two years ago this spring, and I miss the place tremendously. I'm still working on how I can fanagle my way over there on a semi-permanent basis.

Aww....

When my Dad went to law school, we didn't see him for three years. I know it's tough :(

GET OFF THE BOARD and go back to your studies! You'll find the wrong kind of briefs here, and I suspect they're mostly off, anyway.

London is nice. I live in East London, though, and my mother is horrified I'm not in Kensington or something. She tells people I'm here doing an anthroplogical study on working class Britain <g>

Any place is different when you live there, but I will say that I love England, and I do feel very lucky to live here. I love it. I had to go to CNN to find out who was running for President; I normally couldn't care less. I don't plan on ever leaving :)

You could do an exchange programme, I would think?

Only one more post and then I'll leave. Promise.

I was thinking longer term than an exchange programme. I grew up travelling around northern Europe, and I have dual US/Swedish citizenship, so I was hoping to make that side of the pond my home for a while. I like the idea of shaking up my American sensibilities.

OK, I'm leaving now. Thanks for making me. Talk to you in a few days when I wake up.
