Okay - but I like to make the differentiation between being better and treating other people equally. History has shown us that we need t onot dilute that principle.

People have used superiority as an excuse to treat others poorly; other races, other religions, people with mental and physical handicaps, etc. - and to deny that some people are better in some areas than others for the sake of saying that we should all be treated equally, sets your position up to be knocked down.

It is a lot better to say that sure, some people are superior in some respects (physically, mentally, even morally), but that is no reason to treat others poorly.

I prefer to say that no matter whether there are different people or not, that is no reason (by itself) to treat people differently. If for no other reasons than the ones I stated. They are practical, and even those who look down their nose at others can understand and agree with them enough to allow the equal treatment of others.
