Plaited is another word for braided. He gets his braided very nicely at a shop.

Everyone limits their own job choices in some way.

I won't move for any job, and I won't work where I have to drive more than 1/2 hour to get to get there. Commute time is just a waste of my life.

You won't cut your hair.

Both are reasonable positions for us to take. BUT, I don't in any way blame the companies who don't/can't hire us.

A friend of mine had some problems because of his beautiful (blonde, thick, wavy) long hair.

Right after college, he was told to get rid of it, or he wouldn’t get a job. Well, he didn’t. And had some difficulties. Some firms wouldn’t hire him.
Speaking of prejudice. Stupid!!!

Today he is a very successful engineer, 30 years old AND wearing long hair.
And I bet today those firms are kicking themselves in their butts, because he is too good to be true in his field!

I’ve got no idea, if something like that caused this thread, but:

There is way too much prejudice! And sometimes, there IS someone to blame. And not yourself!

Like I mentioned. It is okay for woman to have frizzy, bird's nest looking hair and multiple ear piercings, but not men. Not saying Cheffie's hair look's like a bird's nest, only after wild, incredible sex... then who cares.

Luckily that is changing, slowly, but it really is changing.
