More interesting to speculate what happens when Trump goes -- if he gets a state funeral, there will be riots on both sides.

It rather depends on how much of U.S. tradition he and his have managed to savage before he goes. If we get on the road to recovering from his period, he'll get the minimum state funeral because of tradition. If he continues with his coup attempting and gets slapped down, he won't get anything in Washington, D.C. Nixon didn't get fancy funeral coverage in Washington, but he obviated others having to face that decision by declaring himself that he didn't want anything to happen in Washington. He got a pretty fancy sendoff in California, though. And Trump has already shown to be a far more seditious figure than Nixon was. Trump hasn't even started to show interest in a presidential library (his presidential library is where Nixon got his ceremony), and no state Trump identifies with is likely to want him when he kicks off. He may even have fled the States by then.

Maybe we should check what sort of funeral Aaron Burr got. That's the last person before Trump anywhere the close tp the top who tried to overthrow the U.S. government.
