Ty, I keep telling people I know them better than they think

Any of Kevin Smith's movies;
Clerks
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

funniest movies i've ever seen.

Swingers
National Lampoons Van Wilder

thats a good list...great movies, all of them

And of course, The Rocky collection and The Godfather collection

i dont like kevin smith movies ... yeah yeah i know you will hate me for that :)

but i am really considering getting the god father trilogy

blue daisy don't say sorry its on the maybe list thats good :) (i haven't acutally seen it which is why i didn't say if it was good or not but i've heard good things about it)

The Seven Samurai
Chinatown
Unforgiven

I'm waiting for all 3 LOTR movies to come out as a package before I get em.

Van Wilder surprised me by being so funny.

i really don't think i'd like van wilder thats not my sort of humour

cow boy films don't do much for me so unforgiven is a no

but seven samurai is a strong maybe i've always wanted to see/own that film :)

china town ... i don't think i've ever seen it but i know its a classic that i would probably like so another strong maybe :)

Ahhh...
OK. I thought you meant that it was not up to your level of taste in movies *grin*

You've got to see it...it is one of the best I've seen in a long time. It is sooo funny. It had my husband almost rolling in the aisle laughing, and that is saying something!

Okay...here are the movies I have on DVD. Not saying that you'll like them all, I'm picky too.

The Matrix
The Transformers Movie (hey, it's a classic)
Spider-Man
Fellowship of the Ring
Star Wars Episode II
Resevoir Dogs
Clerks
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
12 Monkeys
Fight Club

Copland
Goodfellas
Leaving Las Vegas
Bronx Tale
Being John Malkovich
Snatch

^all intense movies

You should definitely get the Godfather trilogy.

From the titles you've listed I think maybe you ought to get Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown. Do you like Quentin Tarantino?

i actually quite like star wars attack of the clones but i probably wouldn't watch it much and its expensive whenever i have seen it

i do like quentin tarantino although i didn't like jackie brown so much i loved pulp fiction and resevoir dogs even more so

good fella's is one of my all time fav's ... leaving las vegas was amazing too but too depressing to watch very often :) ... i've never actually been able to get into watching being john malkovich i've sat down to try and watch it a few times but never been in the rigth mood and turned it off

im really thinking about the god father trilogy but it is quite expensive ... i think thats winning so far though :)

Brass Eye (so fucking funny it's untrue)
My Wrongs #8245-8249 & 117 (released at £7, bargain)
Jam (when it comes out on the 28th)

Quality comedy that gets better and better the more you watch it :)

Have you tried shopping for DVDs on EBay? I've gotten quite a few at prices lower than at the store.
I just won a brand new copy of The Royal Tenenbaums for $9 (US)

nope im too scared :)

i will have a look though ... how do i know if its brand new does it just say ?

can you buy things with a credit card ?

sorry i've never used ebay or even looked at it really

claudius i quite like those shows but i prefer to only buy films on dvd (told you im fussy) :)

Go for the Godfather Trilogy...if they had put them out seperatly, i woulda only gotten parts 1 and 2...3 sucked massive amounts of ass. But its worth the price (cost me about 80 dollars) for parts 1 and 2 alone...god i love those moves.

EBay is easy once you get used to it. Any reputable dealer will make it clear if the product is new or used. (And you can check the feedback on any dealer)
Most of them will take credit cards as well, although if you find yourself doing a lot of EBaying, it's best to use PayPal.

By the way, your new AV is gorgeous!

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding"
I haven't seen it yet, but I heard that Bend It Like Beckham is better than My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Not saying either is worthy of owning, but if you haven't seen either, I'd suggest the former.

I really enjoyed My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but it seems awfully insubstantial in retrospect.
To me, it was sort of like watching a good TV comedy. You laugh at it while it's on, but it doesn't really stay with you for long, and I suspect that if I watched it again, I wouldn't find it very interesting.
