Totally agree , what’s the point of lurking !I started with reading the stories then jumped into chat. Plenty of kinks to chose from but not much said. 5-30 people in the room crickets, no one saying anything
18k posts and barely double digit reactions.I’m trolling don’t mind me.. but your profile pic who is that a portrait of?
Right there with you, I am exclusively using my phone while on here and chat simply sucks for phone users...can multi-task with chat..cant look at profiles of those you may want to message without being disconnectedChat is terrible on a phone.
You can't even look at someone's profile as it will boot you off when chat isn't your 100% focus.
They know this but refuse to do anything about it. I wonder when was the last time they updated the chat software. Guessing around 2000
What I have tried lately is to use an old phone exclusively for chat but it will even boot you off if your screen times out.Right there with you, I am exclusively using my phone while on here and chat simply sucks for phone users...can multi-task with chat..cant look at profiles of those you may want to message without being disconnected
The forum is fun because you can choose the subject you are in the mood to talk about, straight to the point.I'm in the process of what seems to be a complete transition from Chat to Forum.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both. Most of my reasons, though, are more specific to me than systemic.
I suppose right now I just feel that Forum suits me better. It allows me to express myself better and show more of my sexuality and sense of humor.
I tried to talk to people about it in open chat. Nobody seemed to really care, they're Chatters and many don't even know what Forum is. I never saw many who did both.
I don't have a question. I'm just talking. Jump in if you want.
I so agree with you here....straight to the point and the kink turning you on at the moment.......The forum is fun because you can choose the subject you are in the mood to talk about, straight to the point.
I go both ways, ahem, chat and forum that is among other things!![]()
It feels like chat is all over the place. No one talks about one subject for long and if your a slow typer forget it. at least in the forums you can pick a subject and chat about it till you get bored.I'm in the process of what seems to be a complete transition from Chat to Forum.

I wouldn't say the responses are faster in chat but you don't have to hit the refresh button like you have to do constantly on the forum. The one advantage over in chat I think is that the response is faster. Otherwise, it's better in here I think.
Chat is mostly for quick real-time RPs. Which sometimes I like to do, although few have good etiquette. When they get their needs met, they often make a quick exit. And I always try to put in good effort, to make it unique or unexpected--rarely is this reciprocated. So it often isn't worth my time unless I just like the idea of getting someone off.I'm in the process of what seems to be a complete transition from Chat to Forum.
Im much the same. If I hit chat these days it’s because I’m looking for partner(s) for w more immediate release and not a conversationI'm in the process of what seems to be a complete transition from Chat to Forum.

Agreed on Forum being more personal and real feeling over Chat .I'm in the process of what seems to be a complete transition from Chat to Forum.

In my mind the chat is for getting to know people and the forum is for exploring ideas. In the forums the people connections evolve slowly and naturally.I'm in the process of what seems to be a complete transition from Chat to Forum.

Based on this thread, it looks like you have cracked the code.I've started a few threads, they never go anywhere. I haven't cracked the code yet
I post in AH sometimes, but I think it's meant for people who are really into their craft, so i kind of feel like the annoying 5-yr old at a dinner table with all adults. In my mind the chat is for getting to know people and the forum is for exploring ideas. I'm glad to hear that someone is moving in this direction. Chat reminds me of the problems our society faces as people get less and less able to deal with slow, long things.
Edit: I went to look at your posts and realized that I was actually talking about the AH forum. I see that you frequent forums like Playground that are actually more toward the people end of the spectrum rather than ideas. So I have to modify my reply to refer to AH, mostly.
Can’t imagine anyone would feel that way about you in a groupI post in AH sometimes, but I think it's meant for people who are really into their craft, so i kind of feel like the annoying 5-yr old at a dinner table with all adults.
I've had some good conversations in chat, but it's really hit and miss. It's kind of like walking into a crowded bar, and maybe some of your friends are there and maybe not. Maybe you meet someone, maybe you don't. And it's really loud so you can get drowned out.I too went from chat to forum. I do go onto chat a bit though. Forums do allow for some good conversation.
YESSS. My typing sucks, I take full advantage of that.I really like that you can edit posts in here.
I think that is an accurate description.I've had some good conversations in chat, but it's really hit and miss. And if the first bar you go to (Lobby) isn't working for you, you can go to other bars (Rooms) but they're usually quiet and boring, or else full of weird loners who keep hitting on you.
