If only for the past 40 years:

1. For the hysterical response you gave his popular revolution.

2. For the bully boy tactics of a blockade which hasn't served any useful purpose.

3. For at least one American backed invasion. Another failure.

4. For the constant harrassment you afforded him and his country.

5. For the screaming, spittle forming, personal abuse you have used when you suddenly remembered he was still there, cocking a snoot at his "mighty" neighbour.

But even more so for the way you're transporting drugged Taleban prisoners to Guantanamo for questioning

He's probably regretting now he didn't kick you off the island altogether when he had the chance instead of letting you keep the Naval Base in the hope it could be used as a sign of reconcilliaition. Which America never wanted.

You can be fucking aggravating bastards sometimes you Yanks...

Dude. You're a transparent cry-baby. I hardly ever use this phrase, but, here you go -- "Shut-up." There. A mediocre response to a mediocre post. You're a booooooooooooooooooooooore.

And according to your post on my other thread you hardly open mine anymore.

What's the matter. Disappointed in the lack of adulation.

Quite frankly I wish you wouldn't open my threads. You never have anything solid to contribute.

Hasn't he been basicly giving us the finger for 40 years?

damn ppman

I was so busy in the Chile thread, I didn't see this one....hahaha

Of course the U.S. has a terrible policy concerning Cuba. While Cuba was a Soviet puppet state, it was an effective policy. Now the policy is outdated.

The problem is that the state of Florida is such an important state in the election of a president, (as evidenced in the last election) and the Cuban vote is such a large block. The Cuban expatriots have an unreasonable influence in U.S. policy concerning Cuba.

When Castro dies or when the state of Florida swings far enough one way or the other politically, America's policy toward Cuba will change.

Now, with that said, Castro didn't have a whole lot to say about that Naval Base in Cuba. And that base is not Cuban soil anymore than Haiti owns all of the Island of Santo Domingo. The base was U.S. property long before Castro, and it remains that way. The base is a natural place to temporarily house Taleban prisoners.

BTW... I've been to Cuba a few times.... it's gorgeous... and a great cheap tourist destination.

I lived there. Circa 1964 - 1966.

My daughter was born there 1965.

I agree, a great island...

:)

ppman... that's facinating... those would have been interesting times to be in Cuba.

I lived in Miami from 1960 through 1964. I was in elementary school. We were there because my dad was with the Immigration Department processing Cuban immigrants....

Hey we were almost neighbours! Apart for the time scale...

I used to listen to Radio WQAM from Miami...

I'm giving us the thumb

Castro's a dirty piece of shit who doesn't deserve to lick my ass after I've taken a nice and steamy shit, the morning after a gin & brocolli binge.
