I am looking for the number of Americans that can work out of the population Ages oh say 16-75 years old. I found that the popluation as a whole is about 275,000,000 people but i need from 16-75 those that could work and bring in a salaray.

Also I need to find the average salary that anamerican woould make yes i know minimum wages might only bring in 17,000$ and business might bring in millions but i need the average total.

Thank you, my search skill are not as good as I thought.

I think I found for the 2000 census shows that the population I am looking at would be

175,000,000

Does anyone have a reasonable guestimate for the average salary?

Labor force: 139.4 million (includes unemployed) (1999)

GDP - per capita: purchasing power parity - $33,900 (1999 est.)

I don't think the GDP is what you are looking for. I think it factors in all 260 million or so.

http://www.trac.syr.edu/tracirs/findings/aboutTP/newindex.html

That site will give you the average income in the 50 highest and lowest counties in the US. It also has an interactive map that will give you the income in any county.

If you are looking for total tax revenues, that shouldn't be hard to find.

Todd, you need to get a life. You're not an economist or any kind of an analyst. You sell stuff in grocery stores. You're a salesman, and a good one from what you've told us. Stick to what you know, or go to school to learn what you seem to want to know.

I disagree (refer to my movie quote). Most people in the northern Hemisphere do not do one job all their lives and it is very unlikely that this is his only job--learning new things (and practicing that ability) is the key to reaching one's personal goals.

Oh, and "school" is not the only place to learn--hence the popularity of the internet, libraries, PBS and like channels and shows, traveling as a passtime, etc.....

What a sad sad place this would be if everyone took the advice to
Stick to what you know

I wonder how our lives would be different if every person who had an idea also elected to ignore it.

Well, he would be less irritating if Todd cut the crap once in awhile.

Just my 2 cents. He can take it or leave it, as can you.

Is this expressed anger? What prompted it? Free speech that was not directed toward you in the first place or a reminder that being intentionally ignorant is really a form of stupidity. I don't understand the take it or leave it comment...(Has anyone in your life ever told YOU to
cut the crap
???)

I am hoping that you have had a bad morning and are just taking it out on certain folks here as opposed to those in your RL. Perhaps the day will brighten for you. Hopefully you will be a blessing to those you encounter today.

Need a cup of coffee to help you on your way to being sweet again?

If you don't like todd's threads then try not clicking on them. Are you strong enough to handle that? if not put him on ignore

I usually do ignore him, but the title caught my eye this time. I automatically ignore any religious titles, but taxes and numbers happen to be things I'm interested in as I deal with them in my RL on a daily basis.

Yes, it is expressed irritation, which can be taken as anger if you want to. Makes no difference to me. I made the original post last night, not this morning, by the way. My opinion is the same today though. If you want to be an economist or an analyst, go to school and take a class in statistics. Don't make up crap with supporting numbers to fit your purpose. If you do, I will tell you to cut the crap.

It is this thread combined with all the other "tax" threads which irritated me (and a few others, it seems) yesterday. This just happens to be the one I posted my opinion to. As me, not as a troll or chickenshit "unregistered."

Yes, if I am throwing crap, I've been told to cut the crap before. Common phrase- I assume you've heard it yourself once or twice in your real life?

Todd can post what he wants. I can post my opinion of it. That's kind of how the bb works.
