I Need Help!

I haven't got much time right now, so I can't reply to you each in turn, but I just want to say a huge thanks to everyone.

Dirt Man - you talk a lot of sense, thank you.

Lew - you don't, thank you, too.

Box - that was awesome, can't thank you enough!

BT - keep cheering, gal. That has really kept me going. Thanks. ;)

Summer - Thanks for the words, and the nanas! :D

Lou :rose:

Hey Honey, anything that helps.

I'm not here to always talk sense, you know me, stir the pot, see what concocts!!!

Wishing you well towards the end of day 7.

I don't hope you do it, I KNOW you'll do it.

'Cos you and I both know the best reason you have to quit,

Avoiding all the SHIT you'll get from me if you don't!!!!!!!

:D :p

Keep it up!

I just saw today of your successful venture into non-smoking Lou. Congrats, and if you ever need help I can assist you with online hypnosis. I have done it with a few people, and it has been quite successful. Just message me if you ever need the help, I would be glad to because I hate smoking so much. If you want a good laugh on Stephen King's way to stop smoking, read short story "Quitter's Inc." or see the movie "Cat's Eye" which has the short story in it. One of my favorite short stories of all time. Anyway, good luck, seems like you are doing great.

Quite! And that's scary shit! :(

Thanks, honey, you have been, and are a great support to me.

It is almost a week now, and I AM gonna do it! I have so many incentives, and I don't want to let anyone down.

You always make perfect sense to me. ;)

Katie :rose:

Yes, fear's not always a positive emotion, but it can be a huge incentive!!!:catroar:

Whatever works for you!

You won't let anyone down, because you're doing it for YOU!

Yeah, you are right. First and foremost I am doing it for me; my heath and well being.

I bought myself a new T shirt today, to celebrate. :D

You like?

Hehehe!

Hmmmmm

You still on course young lady, or do I need to tune up my lap and hand action?? :D :rose:

Hey there, Dingus!

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, couldn't see your post for the wood around here. :D

Thanks for the offer, honey! I might ask a bit more info about that. Although, I do feel I am getting over the worst of it.

And, yes, I know that story well. Seen it in Cat's Eye, too. I'd forgotten all about it, though. Thanks for the reminder, I'll look it up again.

Hah ha ha!

You don't know the half of it!

Anyway, this is day 8. Day one of the 2nd week, how goes it??

Precisely!

I must admit to feeling a little nervous excitement. :p

It goes ok. Actually, it goes pretty damn good, thanks!

Week 2!!!! Woohoo!!!

Katie-Lou ;)

Just poking my head in to Katie's thread. So glad you stopped sucking that little white tubular thing.

Here is to keeping your lips clean!

That almost sounds perverted.

Phil

Day 8: Wow! A whole week without, now that's something to bray about, isn't it. The lungs are starting to expand as they did years ago when you run now. And running isn't nearly as exhausting, even though you managed to squeeze in a little extra milage. He, ha. What a great day to be alive. And in three weeks you'll have made it a month without. Ah yes, life is indeed grand. But wait, what's this? A friend who doesn't know that you've quit offers you one of theirs smokes? Or they light one up in your house, and ask where the ash trays are? What do you do now? Well, hell, that's easy. Show there them nature's big ole ashtray. Yes, the great out doors. Now if you don't want to end up insulting an old friend you'd better get a NO SMOKING sign posted to ever entrance of your home. This way everyone will know what to expect when they enter your house from now on. It is the polite thing to do after all.

As Always
I Am the
Dirt Man

Way to go, Lou. I know it wasn't easy but don't think you have it totally beaten yet. The worst of the physical part should be over but there are still the triggers to contend with. Keep remembering how much better you feel and how you will disappoint all the people who are wishing you the best, including me. ( ) :rose:
