i know i'm way behind on this but... honey boo boo?

Honey Boo boo is spin off from Toddlers and Tiaras (you want nightmares!).

Lots of edited redneck drama, mom is the brains, everybody has nicknames. They are definitely cashing in, but at heart do seem to be a loving family.

Yes I get that impression, too, although I watched an episode once where Mama made spaghetti sauce from ketchup and butter.

Also the show is in English but has subtitles since apparently the average audience on that network can't understand them. I've no doubt the Boo Boo clan is laughing all the way to the bank.

Toddlers and Tiaras is a much better show.

I had that "sauce" growing up. It's not as bad as it sounds.

Is that the bigger one?
Mebbe.
...and I can't send you a PM.
Sorry, I'll add you to the buddy list. Gimme a minute, I'm on my tablet.

*snerk*

Yeah, you do. :D

I get the impression that too many folks are like Vette and Julybaby.

It's nice to get a glimpse of what life is really like over there. I get that when I read certain posters. Zumi, eve, Wings and yourself especially.

I do like ketchup and butter though the thought of them together kind of gags me. But it's probably something like buffalo sauce without the kick, no?

I grew up around a lot of Italians. Please ignore my ridiculous "red gravy" snobbishness.

Toddlers and Tiaras is best for total shock value.

Awesome sauce. I'm surprised she didn't put Bacon Bits in it.

They are definitely laughing. Was a news segment interviewing others in the town who were mad. It's a nice place but edited to make it look like one step up from a trailer park next to a swamp. Which is another show down on the bayou.

Toddlers and Tiaras is creepy. Have you seen Little Miss Sunshine? Good movie!

I have a grudging respect for TLC for their brilliance at making tacky shows exponentially tackier.

BTW agree Little Miss Sunshine is an awesome movie. Really smart and very funny.

Me too. The Learning Channel. Ha!

It is. LMS, I mean.

Virginia is just close enough to the more sophisticated parts of the nation to miss being painted with the same brush which colored the rest of us...

Virginia isn't homogenous. There's NoVa which is basically indistinguishable from Hoboken or Bayonne in New Jersey and, then, there's Big Stone Gap which is basically indistinguishable from Matewan, West Virginia.

There's Eastville which bears some resemblance to Valdosta, Georgia. There's Blacksburg which could be confused with State College, Pennsylvania.

Dolf gets your jokes. I just think you're an idiot.

I'm not saying some southerners don't, Loz.

I just don't think this family represents "a normal middle class American home".

There is no end to the differences between you and dolf.

Stereotyping people by their zipcode is about as accurate as stereotyping them by the color of their skin and the people who do one are likely to do both.

i just saw this family.

they're arguing about buying used underwear from a flea market.

there are chickens in the house.

i'm really confused. and scared.

somebody explain?

To you maybe. You should read some of his other 'jokes'.

Real fucking hoot this guy.

Remember this one bronzeage? About the little boy who accidentally shot the cop?

"It was a hit".

Fucking HILARIOUS.

The irony burns.

Ahhhh. Honey Boo Boo. It is a show worth watching. The 17 yr old unwed mother. 'Sketti. Christmas in July. Beautimous.

Americans shouldn't run from it. They are just a part of the mosaic.

I speak only of the obvious ones, but the count remains the same.

You went from "no end to the differences" to "I speak only of the obvious ones" in two or three posts.

Here's a tip: Think before you post, Captain Derp.

The obvious difference is I don't find your tasteless and moronic "jokes" funny, and if the option to put you on ignore were available, I would have done so months ago. The End.

Also, I really love bronzeage. For what it's worth. He's a standup guy.

It's not personal for me.

To be honest I barely notice when he posts. What bugs me is in the few times I have interacted with bronzeage he is without thought. Thoughtless. Enough to give me pause and beg to differ. I don't go looking for the derp. :) You girls obviously see something I don't and that's cool. No biggie, really.
