I just realized something disheartening today

I remember as a little girl in first grade we had an assignment to write what we wanted to be when we grew up.

I wanted to be tall enough to reach the cereal on the top of the fridge. Only with really bad spelling and a lot of reversals.

I never achieved that goal...

*sigh*

Ah, but now you can wear heels.

You can also keep the cereal at a more realistic height now that you're the cereal-buyer.

Or you can just own up to the fact that you're a failure.

Your first grade self would be so disappointed.

it's weird. everything is exactly the way i wanted it. not perfect...but the way it's s'posda be.

They have those things that reach up and grab shit for you, you know you can still become the woman of you dreams.:)

I was supposed to graduate from college a year early and be a successful interior decorator by age 23.

At least, that's what I wrote when I was in 3rd grade.

[Note: Next month I'll be a 23-yr old with 50+ college credits, working f/t as a dispatcher.]

But what about the other goals in your life that you have achieved KM? You have gained so much in your life since those days. there are always things you look back on and see in shadows, but you are too bright to let it get you down for too long.

:rose:

Think of it as refridgerators are taller these days.:D

I wanted to have 10 kids......I'm sure glad that dream never came through for me.
