Okay, this is a rant, but i gotta get it out.
Two weeks ago, my sister asked if i would keep my nephew next weekend. I was planning to be in TN anyway, so i said sure. Then she called back three days later and said Never mind. She seemed upset but wouldn't tell me what happened and i never knew what her plans had been for that weekend.
On Friday, since i knew she now doesn't have plans, i called and asked her if she AND Ty would like to go to Martinsville to the race on Saturday. My treat, i'll buy the tickets and pay for a hotel on Friday night. Yes, there's an ulterior motive, a friend will be there and it would be a great opportunity for us to meet.
My sister said, ok, sounds like fun. I made her swear she would behave (she doesn't like my friend).
So, i spent Friday night and most of yesterday really upbeat. I didn't say anything to my friend because i was going to suprise him.
Then last night, my sister tells me she's not sure about the race on Saturday, her back hurts and she thinks she pulled a muscle. I didn't yell at her, i just told her she had to let me know by Wednesday.
Tonight, she posts that she's working on her new computer she got today. I pm'd her and asked about her back. She says it's still hurting. SO why in the hell is she lifting and moving computers if her back hurts?
If something is important to me and she finds out, she's gonna do her best to mess it up.
So, now i'm considering finding someone else to go to the race, but to do so i have to break a promise to my nephew. Or maybe i'll just take him.
