The subject has been discusses at nauseum. Clinical studies for the use as a prophylaxis or whether it has the ability to cut the viral load has not been done to the extent that FDA could sanction it one way or another specific for covid-19. Anecdotal evidence from MDs who have the scientific acumen to evaluate a response from the drug combination would seem prudent to warrant the benefit of a doubt and should be an issue between patient and doctor. Side effects such as heart arrhythmias and others are risks associated with its use but when compared to certain death I fail to see the argument other than it's being touted by Trump as a chance to survive the virus. Clinical studies could take years to formulate the exact science for use as a viable treatment. I'm sure if a patient has an underlying abnormality like A-FIB a doctor would take those abnormalities under advisement and make a decision after extensive patient client discussions of the possible effects and would be closely supervised. I think one of the concerns is that there is no antidote for the drug so once its in the body a bad reaction would have to work its course.
