Seriously ill Covid-19 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine were more likely to die or develop dangerous heart arrhythmias, according to a large observational study published Friday in the medical journal The Lancet.

Researchers looked at data from more than 96,000 Covid-19 patients from 671 hospitals. All were hospitalized from late December to mid-April and had died or been discharged by April 21. Just below 15,000 were treated with the antimalarial drugs hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine, or one of those drugs combined with an antibiotic.
Those treatments were linked with a higher risk of dying in the hospital, the study found. About 1 in 6 patients treated with chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine alone died in the hospital, compared to 1 in 11 patients in the control group.

I was in the ER Yesterday. (All Good, Vertigo, sucks) One of the nurses stated that NEVER in her 20+ years of nursing has she met such combative people over an illness (CoVid-19) and it ALL has to do with politics, what some patients hear on Fox News, and from The White House. Every day there's at least one. She has had to argue people whom have tested positive, that it is a REAL virus. No, we wont give you Hydroxychloroquine, No, the entire hospital is not in on some conspiracy the bring down Trump, etc... It's nuts. This is what a lack of leadership looks like. This is what living in a dictatorial propaganda state looks like. These medical professionals have to watch and take care people so sick from this, then contend with such Assholes. (Trumpies)

I agree that this drug really works! It is not the miracle cure, but it does appear to work.
The issue has been crazily politicized by people on the left and sadly also the people on the right.
