I'm sure most of you remember the thread I posted about my best friend and the missing $100. Well, turns out that the money fell out of my wallet and into a box beneath the kitchen table. I found it *after* confronting my friend, who - with every right - was extremely offended that I even considered him a thief.

I felt it was only right to post this. Consider it an extreme apology to my friend as well as notice that I'm a shithead for considering my friend suspect of such an act.

I'm humbled and I apologize.

Bravo

You are a big person to publicly announce this. I commend you and respect you.

No one is perfect, we all make mistakes..........

You definately did the right thing.
Don't worry, if he's a true friend, he'll get over it and things will be back to normal before you know it.

P.S. Humble Pie? With a title like that, I was expecting something else :)

There is only thing you can do under the circumstances.

Be his sex slave for a year. Totally.

It's the least you can do.

What has that whole episode done to your friendship?

good question, brat. Right now, what he's said is ... "I'm going to be angry at you for a while." And what can I say to that? Of course he has every right to be.

But, I think eventually we'll talk it out and then I'll be made to *pay* for my mistake over and over in many various favors to him for quite some time. hehe... that's alright by me.

Vixen,

Turthfully, if a friend confronted me and accused me of stealing their money, with it later being proven false; I would have a tough time forgiving the hurt they caused me.

Not to make it tougher on those involved but keep that in mind when they dont forget it all too quickly.

Give it some time.

Takes a big person to admit an error, after a confrontation. I hope your apology is accepted with the grace in which it was given.

Modesto, I completely understand. Don't think for a minute that I haven't put myself into his shoes and gone through how I'd feel or think or react. I understand completely.

Thanks for the input. :)

Good luck, sugartits. I'm sure it will work out, your remorse is quite evident.

I'm impressed! You done good.

And...I am betting your friend of 20 years will understand. We all assume a suspicious posture from time to time. Occasionally, it is just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I would also bet, that anyone who can come back and serve up their humble pie so graciously, will be forgiven.

Sugartits? That's a new one on me, Storm. :)

Vix, I too would be very offended if a friend even thought me capable of something like that. Can you blame it on PMS? Undue stress in your life? A death in the family? The cat had hairballs. Anything?

take your friend out with the 100 couple of lap dances might help rebuild what this episode may have cost you

"Sugartits" was bestowed upon me by none other than the Killermuffin and thus the title. ;-)

Well, Ruby, you're right. What can I say? I can't blame it on anything. I was a shit, he thinks I'm a shit, he *should* think I'm a shit, here a shit, there a shit, everywhere is shit shit shit.

Damn. Where's nasty in times like these?

We all make mistakes hon...........

It's how we react to the reality of making them that is what sets us apart from the lower portion of the food chain.
