How was your Winter?

The winter, though better than other years, just seems to be dragging on.

Enough of the cold already.

We finally got our big storm Friday night and saturday.

Good thing I was away for a snowmobile weekend.
Perfect timing and perfect conditions

Got up to 12" of fresh powder Saturday morning and it snowed all day.
Trails all groomed Saturday night to make Sunday ride amazing.

Sposed to rain all week now cept its -24C this morning.

I can feel your smile from here.

Extraordinarily mild. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, along with a record-breaking snowfall some time in March.

Yep ~ some frost but not enough rain and snow. My well is tapped into a massive aquifer so I'm fine but those who depend on the reservoir system would really like more rain. Ski season has been crap so those industries are suffering. I work in the home improvement industry so we had an excellent weekend. $$$

Not for him. His retirement community has good central air.

SD's elderly are the most amusing old people on the planet. Total assholes, full of piss and vinegar and racial hatred - even once they're on oxygen. Nothing stops them.

I was in Costco yesterday, and someone was doing a flamboyant cooking demonstration. Very entertaining, and a large crowd gathered around to watch this guy.

About 2/3 of the way through the demo, an old geezer with an oxygen bottle sitting on one of those motorized cart things just absolutely rammed his way through the crowd "get outta the way!!"...he couldn't be bothered to go around the crowd.

I thought it might be Vetty but I didn't see a colostomy bag.

The crowds of fatties gathered around the free samples annoy me as well. I've always said, CostCo should set up the sample stations out back so the rest of us don't have to be delayed by feeding time at the zoo. That's what I've always said.

The trails in the Susitna Valley were all groomed last Friday for those who like to ride trails. And, there's plenty of powder for the mountain sleds to tear up. Blue skies, -20°C in the morning and -2°C just afternoon. It's pretty much perfect out there for sledding and it'll only take you 5 days drive to get here. I'm betting there's at least another 6 weeks of good snow.

*backs away from the free samples*

9th warmest winter EVER here. Very mild. many more 60s than 30s. Very little snow - lots of sun!:)

I was exaggerating a tad. My CostCo is dominated by patrons of Asian heritage and there aren't many fatties in that crowd. They do block the aisles though as if they were enormous.

This past weekend was a perfect day to be outside and enjoy women's fastpitch softball...it was in the high 70's and very clear beautiful sky:)

Very mild winter here...
