Matters of faith and spirituality are two subjects that are very near and dear to me. As a Baha'i, I've been encouraged to study the beliefs of other faiths, and embrace both the similarities and differences. What I'm about to say has come from a long time from soul searching, and reading from different holy texts.

Worry about your own soul, xfrodo, and let everyone else worry about theirs. We all have our own paths that we follow. Some find it in a church. Some find it in a mosque. I knew a Bahai in College and her name was Mercy. She was from Africa. Unfortunately, the Baha'i religion is false because it contradicts the Bible. Christianity, islam and other religions cannot all be right because they all contradict each other. I will not only worry about my own soul, I will obey my calling from the Lord and spread the Gospel. If you don't wish to engauge in this thread, you can kindly move on and click another one. It matters greatly what path we choose. Jesus said that wide is the way that leads unto destruction and NARROW is the way that leads to eternal life. He also said that He was the way. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.

Why are you even here?

I've taken a look at your profile. You've been a member of Literotica for three years. And in those three years, you've contributed nothing to the site. I see no stories, no prose, no form of art whatsoever under your handle. The only thing that you've really accomplished is this thread, and that's it. Which brings me to my second question.

What's such an obviously devout Christian, who takes their faith seriously, doing on a site like Literotica, anyway? This is a site that's ultimately dedicated to the expression of sex. Something that your holy text forbids. I can't be the only one who finds the fact that you're here somewhat contradictory. This leads me to one of two conclusions, both of which are absolutely hilarious. You're either here because A, in an act of pure cognitive dissonance, you're attempting to proselytize to a bunch of perverts, in which case you're wasting your time. Or B, you're just trolling.

Until you can answer both questions to my satisfaction, I'm afraid that I can't take you seriously and, as such, you are woefully beneath my notice.

Your opinion of the Baha’i agrees exactly with both Shi’ite And Sunni. Muslim Ayatollahs. Food for thought perhaps, but at least the Baha’i people will pray for both you and the Ayatollahs .

When Christian Protestant missionaries arrived in the Middle East and Central Asia in the later 19th century they were perplexed that Baha’i were achieving converts in the Muslim, Christian Jewish and Zoroastrian communities at a rate many times greater than they could achieve. Again food for thought, and perhaps it should be noted that Baha’i has always appealed more to better educated people.

I am not Baha’i but have a lot of respect for them and both ethically and spiritually they seem far closer to JC’ s original teaching than the Pauline versions adopted by so many churches.

Perhaps they are correct on this one point. It is a false religion like islam is. It believes that all religions are correct, therefore, it is a false religion because all religions contradict each other. They cannot all be right.

The reason that they were probably gaining converts faster is because of the LIE that all religions are true. It's appealing to believe that, but it's a lie of satan and leads people to hell. It's not because they are better educated, it's because they feel like they can have their cake and eat it too. It appeals to the flesh, but it is a false, lie.

Jesus Christ gave Paul his doctrine. So to believe Paul is to believe Christ.

What people forget is something called faith. You can look at all the religions or even atheism and unless the evidence is accepted by you, you won't put you faith or trust in it. There are a lot of people that know the insights of the bible better than I do. I just totaled it up and I put my faith in Christ 35 years ago. I'd like to say I was saved at birth to hide my age, but in all transparency I was 18. I had finally said I can't do this (life) anymore as it is. I need you.

Why do Christians want to share about Christ? I give the example of pizza. Yes, I have issues with food. Say you have eaten the best pizza you have ever had. Someone is having a hard time finding good pizza, they start a thread here on pizza, or they are just hurting hungry might you suggest this fabulous pizza....the best food you have ever had. When I see a hurting person I do tell them what worked for me, but I don't hit them over the head with it. If there is a thread on lit like this one I discuss my faith and make no excuses for it. I'm not here plastering all the threads with it. Accepting Christ as my savior is the most important thing I have ever done for my life. Each of us have to find our own way. I have learned a lot on lit from people of other faiths and non-believers in Christ. For my life though I put my trust in Jesus.
