Xfrodo you say again and again that you "know" things when in fact you do not. You "believe" those things. You cannot say you "know God," or "know Jesus" because you cannot, you can believe in them as much as you like, but to claim such knowledge is absurd. And possibly blasphemous too.
And there is not a single eye witness in the Bible, the Avesta, the Koran, the Vedas or the Pali Canon, not one. The whole point about belief, any belief, is that ultimately it cannot be evidence based; it has always to be a leap beyond knowledge - a leap of faith.
To better understand the concept of belief I recommend Buddha's teaching, mainly because he understood the limitations of both belief and knowledge. I'm not a Buddhist myself, but his thinking is interesting because he was significantly more intelligent than the leaders of other faiths.
