What ????? You don't like tread marks? That's not what you told me this morning!

That is soooo the right answer koala! :D

As a part-tiime pizza delivery stud who just worked five hours tonight, let me say that, by and large, the people in my area suck big donkey dick. Tonight was the biggest bunch of cheap-assed, no door answering, taking ten minutes to write a check, not heeling their fucking barking dogs people I've dealt with in a long while.

I just got bad luck, and ended up with deliveries into areas where, historically, almost no one tips!

Thank God for a couple people who were overgenerous or tonight would have been just useless. :)

$5, more if the weather's bad.

(See JMJ's thread, the weather's always bad.)

I think most people think you get a cut of the profits Jazz...lol..I tip well and it is usually remembered with excellent service. All food service workers....need tips to live on.

;)

For Pizza, generally I'll hand him a twenty and tell him to keep the change. 20% on a $14 dollar purchase is 2.80, so I'm usually about right.

At restuarants I usually tip 20%, except on certain occasions when I've been known to tip up to $60.

Most other tips, I leave a standard of $5 bucks.

I used to think the same thing years ago, but this is a prety big pizza chain. It's fairly well-known that they don't give us anything but a small amount for mileage per delivery (about 75 cents, actually).

And, for about the last month, the tips have been even worse in bad weather! It's just strange.

But my general rule, and the one I most often tell folks who ask me is 2 dollars or 20 percent, whichever is more. :)

ummmmmmmmm

Do ya think he would be happy with 2 nipples? ;)

As a duly appointed representative of Pizza Studs everywhere, let me say...

YES!!!!!

I tip quite well really.

If I believed in or needed a god the pizza guy would be very high on the list of people I would elect.

I always order from the same place at almost always the same time and as it turns out I nearly always get the same person.
Most of the time my bill is over $20 like 25 or 26 so I will give them 35 or even 40.
Catch me stoned and you might get more. I can see myself calling in the order and people fighting for the chance to deliver my order.

Note to Jazz.....

Move to IA951's neighborhood :D

I always tip 20-25 percent. That includes pizza delivery, waiters, waitresses, etc. More if the service is great, but never less than 20 percent. Always have been an excellent tipper. Those are tough jobs they do, and they rely on generous tips.

Sorry, the last time I had a pizza delivered I think was in approximately 1988. I do carryout or eat there.

OOOHHHHHH then you never had a real NY style pizza .....mmmmmmmmmm :p

I used to be a PH. D.
Pizza Hut Delivery

I used to deliver Pizza back a few years ago.

The minimum is $2, that would be standard content of a pizza driver.
$3 will make him happy.

I have some funky storys from my pizza delivering days, if anyone wants to know :)

Biggest tip I ever gave.
Pulled a $20 bill out of my wallet to buy $8 pizza, told him keep the change.
I thought I gave him a ten and noticed my blunder the next day! oops!

I am sure he was happy!

I had NY pizza in NY when I worked on Wall Street for short time. Great to pick up a slice for lunch. Does that count?

Of course I'm one to say that if you are the appropriate gender you should tip the pizza guy with a blow-job, but that's just personal fantasies creeping in.
