How Many Days Until Spring

Spring is when the sun crosses the equator from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere. The day that happens is Wednesday, March 20.

And WHICH Spring are you referring to?

By my book and most people that pay attention to such things, it starts March 1st. It's only the stargazers and myth followers that use the other mid-month dates.

Spring: March, April, May
Summer: June, July, August
Fall: September, October, November
Winter: December, January, February

Spring temps in my part of the world today, but winter mess coming later in the weekend and next week. I'm not helping by traveling to Chicago next week, with high temps in the 20s.

Bleh.

As JustFran states, we are lucky to have the white stuff melted away by end April-May.
Spring is basically too far away!

So much for that groundhog!!

I was 13 degrees this morning. So much for spring..

Hahaa, I have always looked at St. Patrick's day as the unofficial demarcation of the changing of the seasons.

It is cold here in Ohio today, but yesterday it started out at 50 degrees which had my trees producing sap. I harvested 100+ gallons of sap and by the end of the day after boiling and filtering had produced (21) 8 oz. bottles of sweet golden syrup. This is also one of my personal signs of spring :)

LIG - AND listened to my first spring training game on the radio over the weekend. It was great to hear balls and strikes being called. That's spring right there too!

I've been away, just back from the abyss. I went on a trip for work and got the flu. The only thing worse than the flu is having it hundreds of miles from home.

I hope everyone has been well. And AF, I've heard of few spring training games on the radio too....always ready for that!

23 days! that's only about 3 weeks! I can do that! :nana::nana:

Better weather will make this beachbaby very very happy.

It's HEeeerrrreeee ....

Spring has Sprung.

March 1st is the beginning of Meteorological Spring as far as official record keeping in the US.

Though there is still a bit of Winter in the air. Much of the US may see some of the coldest weather of the 'Winter' the next few days.

l hope it gets here soon, we have a full schedule planed....I'm getting anxious. ;)

I know it seems that way, Beachgirl, but let's hang in there. It's coming. :)

Inside of 2 weeks!

They're calling for 60 degrees in my corner of the world on Sunday so that will be a nice preview. Of course, when that happens, that usually means 20 degrees and 4 inches of snow a week later.......

16 degrees here this morning . . . But you just know this was the corner, the coldest morning until next winter, and we turned it, it's all warmer from here.
