How do you know your ready to do a public scene?

I guess it depends partly on what is included in the play, though a general rule of thumb seems to be place your trust in your Dominant, draw your strength from them if and when needed, and remember this is about pleasing them and making them proud of you, not you personally. Hope you sail through and enjoy it fully. :)

I find when I am under that type pressure I go through a myriad of emotions, then at the last minute accept it is inevitable and get on with it as best I can. So pleased to hear you survived, and excelled, and pleased the one you wanted to.

Public....can be fun and scary. For us (shes the boss), we do it just a little. She will walk up to a door and then turn and wait for me to open it, I always, carry her shopping bags, get the another size when she is in the dressing room, etc.

The absolute best was when we were outlet shopping and she was trying on shoes. She would tell me which ones and then I'd get down on my knees and put them on her, pair after pair and then put the shoes she came with back on. A saleswoman asked if we need help and I replied, "no thanks, it's my job." At the cash register she turned to me and said, "buy these for me, I'll be at the next store. Hurry up."

I guess what am trying to say is that it doesn't have to be a big scene or death by embarrrassment if you run into a co-worker. Little things can be fun too.

Good Luck

What I am gathering here is that there may be different definitions to what is a "public scene." I see people talking about public as in a BDSM club, public as in a regular bar, and public as in shopping, dining etc. I would be interested in more discussions of the breakdown on different types of "public" for a public scene.

Anything new anyone wants to share on this thread?
