How do you hit on a guy?

Okay don't laugh!
There's this guy I like, and I want to let him know that I'm interested. Usually I would just be direct and ask, "So, you wanna hook up, or what?" and do the naughty thing... use sex to get a guy (probably because even as SeXy as I am, I am still afraid of rejection and what guy rejects sex?!?).

Anyway, I am trying to purify my methods, though, so if there are any more "respectable" means of hitting on a guy, please share!

Don't make it so complicated, just ask him out! It's a boost for my ego when a girl expresses her interest to me (yeah, I know, not that it happens all that often). If a "traditional" date intimidates you, do something different, something that's fun; even if you think that it's stupid, you never know! Besdies, everyone's got that rejection fear inside of them, it's completely normal. Just don't let that keep you from acting. That's how you get regrets, and those take alot longer to go away than the sting of being turned down!

The approach that always worked for me is finding out something that both of you like to do (not just sexually) such roller blading, hockey games, movies, sci-fi conventions or anything and the next time you're going to do one of those things (make it soon) you casually ask him if he wants to go with you. It's up to you if you have someone else go with you, but as you do this thing show him how attracted you are to him (without going so far as to give him a blow job) so that he'll know if he takes the plunge and asked you out, you will say yes. Then go from there...
