You're averaging about 5 posts per day, that's only about six months worth of posting to make 1,000 posts and earn a custom title.

Which is kind of the point, really. A custom title is a reward for continued participation and a way to easily distinguish the old-timers from the relative newbies.

Of course there are a few who have made the 1,000 post mark in just a week or two because it's something that they think is important. It's NOT all that important and gaining a thousand posts in ten days often comes with a reputation for brainlessness and space on a lot of ignore lists.
