That was one of the things that USED to be nice on the GeeBee. Friends just "check in" and say hello. Anything mellow goes, weather, breakfast goodies, plans for the day... FLIRTING! :D

flirting??!!

I'm resting...trying to wake up. Good day planned...my Dad's birthday and the birthday party for my 2 year old granddaughter. Gorgeous weather today too. :)

well... my sunday morning is fantastic. i had company of the best possible kind overnight, my best friend from college is coming to visit today and we're all gonna play tennis after eating a wonderfully healthy breakfast at the waffle house (honestly i hate that place but ya just have to go every now and again... lol).

Wow! busy day for your single day off, Wubblya wubblya!

Enjoy. I'm back to doing yard work at 10.

Good morning folks!

The sun is shining here and it's a beautiful morning. The pups are rowdy (for those of you that don't know me....oh wait that'd be most of you....I have 2 german shepherd pups)

And I'm surfing for suggestions on how to 'coach' basics of baseball to 7 yr olds.

Good idea! I have to be ready to have my house painted tomorrow. All of the stuff has to be moved away from the walls and all of the shubbery needs to be trimmed back. Guess what I'm doing today? :)

That reminds me of a scene from Monty Python's "Holy Grail".

I'm just having a break from rakin', sweepin' & hosin' down the pool deck.

I'm not the 'official' coach. (thank heavens) But i went to a nephew's game yesterday, and was asked by the coach if I could come to practices to help out.

Who could look at those cuties and say no? I spent about 20 yrs playing, but never tried the coaching thing. i don't know how successful I'll be as a coach, but I'm sure I'll have fun. :)

Great idea for a thread, Jimi!

No flirting here, tho...

Weather is absolutely perfect! Sun is shining, it's 73. Got the windows open, enjoying "airing the place out" after winter. Dog sleeping at my feet. May sit out on my deck and cross stitch, may go for a nice long walk in the weather. Already replaced a light switch that had gone bad in my bathroom. DGS#2 is doing better and may come home from NICU this week. Spent part of the morning with BF, but spending the rest of the day getting things done around my own place. Life is GREAT!!!!!

I agree with the others; thanks for starting this thread on this beautiful morning and day.

It's clear and sunny in north Georgia...now in the low 70's and a coolness in the air. After a peaceful morning catching up on a few favorite sites I'm now taking a break before continuing with my weekend yard work. Soon I'll go outside and rake out the tree leaves from around my 40 mature blueberry bushes and lay out the soaker hoses and pine straw. The pollen is fading and I am energized by these cool weekend days.

Next, an hour-long walk with baby girl (my dog) will top off my afternoon.

Now I might linger on this break and watch the conclusion of the Braves/Mets game...Smoltz vs. Glavine and the score tied in the 6th. Life is good!

It's a beautiful spring day in southern Illinois. I'm going to go out later and see if the lawn mower I killed yesterday has managed a miraculous resurrection, or if I should just give up and buy some goats. Every year it's a toss-up.

I remember those nice Sunday morning threads. I miss them and the wonderful people that posted in them that are no longer here *sigh*

It's been raining on and off here. Right now, sunny with big white fluffy clouds but the dark ones aren't far behind. Just doing laundry and napping on and off ~ it's a nice quiet lazy day.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday :)

Great day in Philadelphia. Finally able to sit back and relax about a lot of things. Finals are coming up in a week, so a little stress until then, but not too much because I realize that life does not end with a B in Physics.

My dorm is supposed to have a prom today, let's see how that goes. No jeans or sneakers allowed, which sucks because that's all I really have with me!

My Day was GREAT!

Well, my lawns front and back are raked COMPLETELY... All yard waste is bagged & ready for the Recyclers to pick up, the pool is ready to uncover next week... I've had the obligatory first Sunday afternoon beers (post-working) with my Neighbour, and a barbeque supper is in the offing. Life is Good! :D

Friends from Toronto, through West Virginia to the Deep South have had excellent Spring Sundays, as well, it appears.

'Evening folks, Boston checking in, just not morning anymore. After 10 days without sun (or more, I don't count) the sun showed up yesterday and it's staying a long while!

I wasn't ambitious like the rest of you - my sleep scheduled is all screwed up lately for a variety of reasons and it seems things are upside down inside out for me. Such is life.

livefull, want a new best friend when blueberry picking comes around? I just love them. Welcome to Lit :)

Like WW, my father is having a birthday later this week -- he'll be 80, or as he says he'll be starting his 81st year. Drives us all nutty but it's fun teasing.

I also have a niece who will be Sweet 16 this week too. Driving is on the top of her list. She's been studying to take the test to get her permit. It's exciting but I don't know where 16 years went.

I like this kind of thread too, it's nice to just say hi to everyone.

I'm wondering what to have for dinner. The idea of delivery is sounding more appealing...why mess with my lack of ambition.;)

Cathleen, thanks for the welcome and glad Boston is finally sunny. I visited your fine city two summers ago and this southern gal was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the locals are to visitors. I can't wait to go back and see more.

If you ever find yourself around Atlanta in the summer, you have an open invitation to drop by and pick all the blueberries you desire. :)

Very warm beautiful day here today. I spent a lot of it outside doing yard work and gardening type stuff.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. We are a friendly bunch, I think we get a bad rep on that. Now the driving issue, we earn that!

Take good care of my blueberries. :)
