House, Boehner, Cruz cave in. Democrat Victory is Complete

Many voters have the attention span of a fruit fly.

That's all right. Because nowadays everything is video-recorded. Next year, the Dem and the moderate-Pub challengers to Tea Party legislators will have plenty of juicy, devastating clips to use in their campaign ads.

There is no lasting victory in politics.

Sometimes there is. Once slavery was abolished, its reinstatement became politically impossible once and for all. Once women got the vote, there was no chance they would ever lose it. Granted, that kind of victory is rare.

So will Repubs.

With a stroke of a pen, Obama could have ended the disgraceful spectacle of blockaded memorials.

But why post further?

Lasting political victory was achieved yesterday.

How could he? What pen lets him do that exactly?

Should he have deployed the military to patrol the Mall?

Social Security and Medicare come to mind, as well.
Obamacare seems likely to enjoy a similar status.

But new-style Tea Party Pubs looked worst of all. And the voters will remember that in November 2014.

One can hope but there is a lot of time for them to forget.

Genuine political discussion doesn't consist of Person A or Person B.

There is no lasting victory in politics.

If liberals have achieved lasting victory, why are they still posting?

Because they know they haven't.

Of course there are lasting victories, what the fuck are you smoking and can you hook me up?

A stupid argument. I thought you weren't so stupid.

I thought you were so stupid.

Seriously do you care around a check list to remind you to breath? How do you manage to get out of bed in the morning ....or maybe you dont?

However you are 20 cans short of a 6 pack

Obama, turning people like u into willing slaves!

Carry on, my mooseknuckle friend

It always looks that way when your side loses.

Voters have a very long attention span. The GOP is about to discover how long it is. They made a serious strategic blunder and it will not be forgotten at the next election. The next Congressional campaign will feature a lot of people trying to explain their noble cause and come off looking like Don Quixote.

No matter what one's politics might be, no one wants to vote for a fuck up, twice.

Many voters have Drosophilia-esque attention span.

They often vote repeatedly for failures, as evidenced by second terms for Obama, McCain, and a host of others.

Was it worth the effort to try to save America from devolving into yet another stagnant welfare state?

Opinions differ.

Yes, and you're entitled to your opinion no matter how fucking wrong it is.

Look around the world. The real welfare states are not stagnant and usually are doing better than we are on numerous quality-of-life measures.

Do you have any evidence to offer that President Obama's first term was a "failure"?

....didn't think so.
