Word help needed

I need computer help!

Updated windows and now Word doesn't work properly. I get an error message saying 'This program has caused an error.... click close to shut the program down or ignore to carry on working...'

I can click ignore about 15 times before it lets me in to word. Once I'm in, it seems to work okay though in view of the error message I'm not confident about its stability or ability to save my work safely.

I've removed the updates I could but it hasn't had any effect.

Word was working fine before I updated windows.

I get the same problem on one of the kids games - which runs from the CD ROM.

Any suggestions?

I don't think it's that much of a trouble if the program works.

I get that all the time. For example, whenever I open my ATI media player, an error message warns me such and such file is not openning or cannot locate... The media player works nevertheless.

Just make sure it saves files. Do test-saving a couple of time.

I'm concerned that it may crash and I lose 30 pages of manuscript. If that starts happening then I may have to go out in to the real world and get a proper job!

Do you have the original disc with office on it ?

Probably something do with conflict between version of windows and version of office you are using or you upgraded to ?

I would reinstall the original office suite ( if you have disc )
