It feels so incredibly good to slip off the athletic shoes.

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

on a side note...

the woman next to me on another treadmill had incredibly bad body odor...yuck!

She probably left the house funky, figuring she could shower after a workout.

Nothing like a kickass workout in the morning to get your juices flowing!:) I love drinking Musclemilk and feeling my muscles growing!:) :)

Hey I made a rhyme!! :D

Yah, I figured as much...lots of people are at the gym on Saturday morning with "bed head" :D

2nd thing that feels good...the post workout shower...

mmmmmmmmmmm...

The little happy endorphins are screaming "party" in my system right now.

The best part of a workout is the shower afterwards. When everything hurts, and the hot water just relaxes...god, one of the best feelings in this world.

Man, I used to love seeing women at the gym who looked all done up - as if they'd primped before coming to the gym. They had make-up on, hair done. Sure, they could've been coming from work or something, but I would assume that you'd want to wash that gook off your face before you started sweating buckets. Yuck - that's the worst - seeing someone's liquid makeup and mascara cascading down their face, dripping onto their Calvin Klein workout outfit.

Speaking of which...there was a woman at the gym today, she had muscle definition on her tummy and I'm not talking just a little but those cool little squares that guys can get.

WOW! For being as petite as she was she could lift a whole lot of weight.

I agree. It is pretty funny. I usually bring my headphones and watch t.v. while I use the treadmill or eclyptical machine...helps me to stay focused on my goal and not what's going on around me.

Oh and then there is the locker room experience...I swear some people like to be seen naked just because.

I turn the corner to go into the sink area and instead of modestly adjusting her towel this woman just whips it right open...I think I was flashed.

Theres nothing worse than the "naked" guys in the locker room. Those guys that pretty much just like to hang around naked and admire themselves. God, so horrible. F'ing "family fitness" gyms...for the most part, 75% 'roid bags anyways.

In your case though, with the ladies...hehe, thats not a bad thing.

I guess it is all in how you look at it. Literally! :p

I'm sure you meant taking a shower at home and not at the gym. Does anyone actually use the showers at the gym? I don't. Who knows what kind of fungus is lurking in those stalls.

I had a free membership to these gyms that i've been milking for the past two years...the guy who owns them all was my football coach, and after we won the Superbowl, he gave us all free memberships..

places were actually pretty good, until they got huge. Now its like body builders and pro atheletes go. and while thats all well and good, i HATE being intimidated...and plus, i dont need to hear guys screaming at one another to lift more weights. I love to lift, dont get me wrong, but jesus christ, no need to be screaming "push it!! push it harder!!! thats it!!!!!!" I tend to lift in my basement now, or go back to my highschool and work out.

Yes exactly, at home. God, i got enough of the "showering with sandals" on bull when i lived at school, no need to be carying them with me to the gym. But sure enough, there are people who use them. <shudder> disgusting

The body tune-up....

If you don't use it, you lose it..so true! I enjoy the singing of the plates, the internal will to continue while the body screams for mercy! I love making my body more efficient, as well as looking good. I don't appreciate the "posers", or the shirtless guys that leave sweat puddles on the bench I'm going to use. I appreciate the females with no makeup, that are sweating their asses off, it shows they have the fire and not worried what others think.
I'm old school, use to the old ways in the gym. Joe Gold had a policy that if you were standing around and not resting between sets, you're out of the gym! I also notice the new folk that leave their plates lying about, and their max weight benches loaded when they leave. I guess they figure their momma will pick up after them...slobs! As for gym attire, nothing I wear matches, I'm there to work at a pace, not mingle!

Iron forever!

I love the gym and being at the gym. Right now I am rehabbing from shoulder surgery so it kinda sucks.

During the week I go in the morning and the evening. I do cardio in the A.M. and lift what I can at night. The only problem I have is with the people who seem to forget why they are there. They make me want to shout "IT'S A GYM PEOPLE, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SWEAT!!!"

I like how I feel when I'm done. Whatever was bothering me to begin with is most likely gone after sweating for awhile. I was intimidated at first but have learned to just smile when someone looks at me. They either smile back or look the other way. Everybody has to start somewhere and it takes work to have a hard body and maintain it.

My knees are aching a bit tonight but other than that I feel like I had a productive day. I baked some whole wheat, mixed berry muffins this afternoon...yummy!!! :D
