Perhaps this has been done, but this year the children and I are finally able to create and expand upon holiday traditions.

Here are some:

1. The children made Christmas gifts for all of the extended family and presented them at the family Christmas party.

2. Cookie baking for Santa. Yummy.

3. A birthday cake for Baby Jesus. (No flaming necessary....I know where many of you stand on that issue. :) )

4. And many other little things....

What are some of your traditions?

Happy holidays from northern New York!

I'm escaping from my family Christmas right now. Everyone came over after church and we had Christmas dinner. My grandmother actually wrote out her menu this year, 15 items. Everyone sat in the living room and visited for about an hour. The youngest great-grandchild wowed us with her new talent -- walking. Then we all sat around the tree while the kids opened gifts. The kids then ran out of the room and back to my nephews room to play with the old toys.

Merry Christmas!
