Hello From My Englishness

Well he's barking....wagging his tail and salivating if that's any indication

You do realize that, if Numi is not familiar with Nick's AV, you are giving her a terrible impression of his character. :D

And hello to beautiful Numi. This thread might be getting classy now.

I’m not a sporty person, hated participating when at school. I will sometimes watch a rugby on the box, and do like following some of the Olympics, especially the Paralympics.

I am *so* not a sporty person...terrible at all team sports.

Note to Angelica: Of course it's classy, A, you started it
Note to Numi: check Nick's av
Note to Nick: only joking. Snuggle back in the chair

Note to self don't be so rude about Nick, he's a booful boy

I'd no idea this thread had a previous life, but having discovered it, I think it'd be rude not to say Hi at least, so umm... "hi" :)

If it wasnt for all these ridiculously named storms i would suggest we all go into the beer garden , put on our pearly king and queen suits and have a Lambeth knees-up to welcome you.
Anyhow, you're welcome

Up next, we have a shameless plug for the first ever AmPics Tittie Awards.

Make sure to go and peruse the categories, then enjoy doing some research to pick your nominees.

The lovely and gracious Moochienanu is our fearless leader for this foray into the best...and sometimes worst...of AmPics in 2019.

ReaperW: please don’t let ruthie in the kitchen. Last time, we were picking up biscuit crumbs for days!

Ruthie and I will be plonked in front of the telly watching the 6 nations rugby but we'll be happy to be fed beer and biscuits

Nice gaff. I'll be in the kitchen. Eating for 2 these days, dontcha know. ;)
Seems like I've missed a bunch of stuff, been disgustingly absent. I shall seek to remedy by bombarding you with my presence, till you beg me to go away again
Welcome back, gorgeous!

Good luck with that. I guess you can feed them to one another. ;)

I am not putting that outfit on for you.
Of course not, MrD!
(secretly disappointed)

Normally I'd be all for the 6 nations, but for some reason I just don't seem to be enjoying it this year... Nothing to do with one atrocious captain, and a piss poor run...

Don't worry, there's lots of nooks and crannies ( not cockney rhyming in this instance) for the disinterested. This is such a fabulous space with lovely people.

I’m not showing you lot my nooks and crannies!

Maybe a book or two.

Apologies for my tardiness, as usual my timing knows little about regularity and all about lateness. I am sorry to hear about Allia, my main hope is that she is happier now whatever situation she is in.

This will hopefully become the new home for the refugees from the Hello From London! thread (Literotica Personals) which was closed after reaching 5000+ posts and the subsequent My Englishness Doesn't Know How to Deal with That thread (The Darkroom Lounge) which was deleted when Allia closed her account.

The Hello From London! thread was a personal thread started by a young man from London by the name of Peter. Allia felt that Peter was a lovely gentleman and wanted to assist him in his potential partner procuring efforts. From there it evolved...or perhaps devolved...into discussions of newspaper choices, posh boy fights, and the merits, or lack thereof, of frozen vol au vents from Iceland (the store, not the country...hey, I'm not from the UK).

Peter ended up forgetting, perhaps intentionally, his password somewhere along the way. By that time, a core group of us had formed, including Allia, Ruth, and myself. We continued to entertain ourselves and welcome unsuspecting new Litsters, some of whom actually stayed, including Polranny, londoner2, hotoldrguy, Ironfan, phil_0, ReaperW, newrandomperson, Spiritedlady, Mr.D, nick42, and Todger. I apologize if I have overlooked anyone.

We all know that Allia was the heart of these threads. Without her here, I don't know if this thread will survive. However, I knew that people were wondering where to go next, so to speak. So I thought I would take the initiative and create a new thread. I'm not British. I don't take great photos of street art on a regular basis. But I don't want to lose the camaraderie we shared. Hopefully, this will be a place that is welcoming to old friends, as well as to kindred spirits (British or otherwise) as yet to be met. Perhaps Allia will join us again in the not too distant future. So here it goes. I only ask that, going forward, we do not ruminate on the recent events.

Bless you for starting the new thread and bringing us all along for the ride, the words are heartfealt and lovely to read. While it may not be the same I hope for the same as you, that the spirit lives on.

Hello, you lovely people.

Life has just dealt me a huge curved ball that has left me feeling alone, lost, hurt, questioning. I cannot go into massive detail on a public forum. I’m going to tackle this head on. I’m feeling v downbeat about life in general.

I’m avoiding my usual degrees of witty banter as I’m all too aware of my own acidic feelings and don’t want to say anything to those I love and admire that could be taken as an attack.

London thread was my introduction to you lovely people. That thread made me feel like I had a home on this board. Yes, Allia was a big part of that thread and it’s other offshoot, to the point that her own gorgeous persona attracted a lot of attention, all of it thankfully positive.

Thank you

Sending you all the best wishes Mr D, being in a somewhat similar situation at times recently in regards to the downbeat feelings I can sympathize (and I appreciate that I do not know all the facts so my apologies if it feels I am downplaying anything, I promise you I am not) so I hope that by tackling it head on it helps you get to the destination you want to get to.

<wanders in...sniffs around...climbs onto a chair in the corner and curls up>

Lets hope we can help with the curling up mate :)

... I hope no one minds if I pull up a seat too.

(not sure why I feel like this thread is similar to a pub ... but there you go!)

You guys seem to have a nice community-led bond and ... well, it would be lovely to contribute a little with guys who share the same timezone!

Admittedly, I never interacted with Allia (I'm still the proverbial newbie in these parts), but I'm aware that she had a profound impact on Lit. I really hope she finds her way back and brings her unique energy - in her own time.

Oh yes. I cannot wait!

Welcome along to the thread, hope you enjoy our friendly atmosphere.

Congrats! And your company and presence is always welcome and appreciated, look forward to seeing you around (assuming I ca get better at being around more!)

Surely none of this is a surprise, we revel in nearly getting to the line only to trip over the shoelaces of fate we actually tied ourselves because the best sabotage is from within. Because despite only winning one game, we are third. Which makes no logical sense.

Hello

Hello there, I hope you don't mind the intrusion (you all seem to know each other from old) but I read Englishness and Scotch and thought I could fit in here. I'm Georgie, nice to meet you all :rose:

Thank you so much Nick. I come armed with Bonio and ear tickles.
Hope you're having a good start to your Sunday :)

Good morning Georgie :rose:

Come in, friendly bunch really....make yourself comfy though the chair in the corner is my favourite - you are welcome to use it but it will be covered in dog hairs

Hi Nick, hope you're not offended by my teasing. It's the usual thing, new environment, trying to impress the newbies ( probably won't work).
GEORGIE, welcome. Nice to have a few more ladies looking in.
