I think the reviews were pretty dreadful.

If I remember correctly it was taken off the box all those years ago because it just wasn't very funny any more. Seems the same has happened. Great puppets let down by dire writing.

I think the appeal of Spitting Image back then was its cutting edge, but once it came into the realm of being familiar, that was lost, probably a mistake to attempt resurrection, but what do I know!

I've only seen the trails, pretty dire. I think that both comedy and political satire have moved on. It has also been over-hyped.

I think it was always patchy, even in its original manifestation, and that hasn't changed, though it did raise a few laughs.
