Have you ever been drawn...

As for the mutual consent aspect — regarding artist and model/subject

There really is an element of Bondage/Discipline involved — a subtle and psychological one. It can be sexual, but more often it is not, at least overtly.

The model must use discipline to hold a pose, a pose directed by the artist. And the artist visually invades the model, scanning every inch.

I paint/sketch ... and I've ALWAYS wanted to do this.

Tons of life drawing classes in college, but never an intimate session one with someone I cared about. Always thought it would be a highly intimate & erotic thing to do.

I would do this for a partner as well- be the artist, or the subject. I think it's a beautiful idea.

It is a wonderful thing. Very intimate.

I wanted to be the subject with my ex, but with B&W pictures. He took great photos. Alas, never happened.

Any medium where you're capturing the essence of the other person, whether in photographs or oils, is bound to be erotic.

Most everyone has some sort of missed opportunity. :(
Perhaps there will be another.:)

I don't know about that. There is almost always some element of "intimacy", but not necessarily "eroticism". When there is — magic!

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath but who knows...made me think though of one boyfriend I had when I was in art school. He was a sculptor and we did play with some of the material he worked with, covering my body etc. It was fun and hot. :D

I wish I had taken sculpting courses in Art School, there were only so many hours in the day.

making plaster casts... HOT in at least TWO ways.

I used to sit there quite often and just watch him work, because I found it so hot. ;)

Sculpting can really be, as it is so physical, and tactile.

(plaster body casting... is a bit "meh" as an art form. I've seen creative pieces, but generally it is just an excuse to get women naked. which can be legit, let's just be honest about it)

Physical and tactile. Exactly! ;)

What I liked on my body were just pieces of material (don't ask me the name lol), the coolness of it and the dirt. We just used it to play really, at my instigation.

Agreed ... incorrect use of term erotic!

Orchidea73 ... I've found art is a lot like cooking ... for the most part it's a very solitary action, but when joined by another party ...

oh sure! Sculpting materials is a gateway to MUD WRESTLING!

I still have all my newsprint pads from college ... I'll have to dig in the closet and take some 'pics'!

Too often it's "LOOK OUT! This is hot!" "MOVE!!!!" "Where the hell is the onion powder?!"

Tis true. As someone who loves cooking I know this very well. Teasing, tasting and playing while cooking can be so much fun. ;)

That's right! ;)

another pen (rollerball) life drawing these are 5 minute poses.

*snip*

An interesting model — I called (for my drawings) "Hard-n-Soft"
She had a soft physical appearance and a hard "presence".
