I'm surprised to hear that about Santa Claus. I always thought the name came from "San Niclaus", the Dutch version of "Saint Nicholas", and was brought to America by Dutch settlers in New Amsterdam.

You are right about the origins, Box. But our St. Nicholas is on December, 5th. (Sint Nicolaas or Sinterklaas in Dutch)
And in true Dutch tradition your St. Nicholas presents should all come with a poem.
Some of the presents are false, or meant to tease you with your quirks in a mild manner.
That goes for the poems as well.

No presents with Christmas and not such an air of festivities all around.

Not me anyway. From the people with multiple entries I picked only one. And I still haven't read all the stories. Just made sure I read something from everybody in this thread and/or the writers I know.

Some unknown as well, because the title appealed to me. I'll try to read more, but the Halloweenish sex is coming out of my ears by now.

I tried, I voted on way more than I PCed, but I think I only got through half so far. I tried to PC everyone that PCed me, but even soo... I have misseravly failed.

I can't believe I have 21PCs, nearly half the people who voted left a PC on mine.

Being a relative nobody here I was truly amazed by the kindness and amount of feedback.

Oh, we're not prejudiced around here, Alex. Most of us will gladly run-down, abuse, ridicule, insult, heap scorn upon and/or low-rate just about anyone who sticks their toe in the water.

But seriously folks, I've had the same experience with PC's. The twenty-eight my story has gotten in the contest is easily the most I've ever tallied. And for a story with less than 5000 views is really surprising.

Mine is currently my second most commented on story.

I've received 35 to date. And that's amazing as it only has 51 votes. Won't say the score, like sweet, I would like to win a contest and I'm afraid of jinxing it.

I could not possibly read them all, but I have read and commented or PC'd something by each person who PC'd me. I, too, have been impressed by the quantity of response; the ratio of PC's to votes to very high, and the amount of PC's total easily more than anything else I have written.

It's rather fun.

Selena, that can cut both ways. Just ask any survivor of the "Loving Wives" category.

Shang, I've read all the AH stories (I think) except for those by Honey and Elf which I'm about to tackle (oh, that I could do the same to the author's). Wish I could have gotten to some of the others, but I'm also on two non-Lit critique sites that have been busy so.... The thing is, I've been really pleased at the quality of the writing. Sure some are better than others, but so far I haven't found a clunker among all those AH stories.

I've tried to leave a C on every story I've R & V on. If you don't have one of my PC's let me know and I'll try to atone for my inequities.

I actually read every story.....

and Pc'ed on 90% of them...some didn't allow PC's. Very high quality. Would predict Penelope Street, Dr. Mabeuse and Rgraham to be the winners, not sure of the exact order.
By the way, my latest poem "The Literotica Alphabet-Revisited" features some of the Halloween Contest writers such as Extreme Bohonk. Read it if you are in the mood for a bit of fluff! (in New Poems section).

I agree with others, I think my Halloween story has exceeded the reads/views of all my other stories put together.
I do wonder about the ratio's some of you are talking about. My PC to vote ratio is alot further apart than what's been mentioned here 8.26/1
It has seriously been a learning experience. Best of luck to the leaders. Slightly prejudiced but I do hope one of the Ah'ers is the winner.
I think I have read most all AH'er's by now, at least the regulars that I'm familiar with. It is truly a humbling experience with the wonderful writers around here.

I've tried to read all the AH peeps stories, I'm pretty sure I got them all.
I left a PC on all I read, but some were anonymous due to a case of 'happy fingers'. I cleaned my sys, and lost the info (red stories) on the entry page,
so I hope I didn't miss anyone.
