Hmmmm... let's see. 421 views, 21 votes, 3 positive PC, (thanks Imp and Vella ) a couple of good feedbacks and the lowest rating I've ever had on any story.

Went from a 4.86 to a 4.00 in a few hours this morning. Apparently the voting in these contests is every bit as nasty as I've heard. I think this may be my first and last contest.

Naw ... it's fun I tell you, fun! Mines been climbing back up so, 27 votes last check. It's a blast, I never get this much feedback on my crap. Most people just aren't into sticking around for 26 chapters.

I still get more feedback on the very first story I wrote than every thing else combined. The latest ones hardly generate any.

I get feedback telling me 2 lit pages is too long, I can't see many sticking around for 26 chapters.

Hmmm. Might be. I've certainly taken a caning myself. But then, I'm not convinced that horror is really my bag, and I may be being (quite fairly) chastized for not actually having any content I'd call erotic. It's about as sexy as a train wreck. It might have been better off in "non-erotic," despite the sex in it.

Ah well, live and learn. A little exercise in public humility and chastisement is good for all of us, now and then.

What worries me is that they will think that that is what I normally write. Whether it sends them screaming into the night or they want more, I think I'm in trouble either way - although I am cackling madly at the thought of a fan of "Sweetness and Servitude" (that cloying, sticky-sweet thing) innocently opening this one up.

totally agree with your sentiments here. it is difficult for me to write a seductive/sexy/sensual scene when the main character is planning on how to off him.
as far as public humility...im not too much of a fan but will take the good with the bad as always.
