guys are we maybe taking ourselves a little too serious

When I read the board I usually see something humorous to say. I think it is humorous anyway. I try to make sure I am the butt of my own jokes so as not to offend anyone else.

However if you read what I write, you will find most of it is way over blown. It is meant to mildly make fun of myself and the whole idea of what I am writing at the moment. My porn is more vile than necessary. My mysteries more over blown than they should be. My heros more heroic my damsels more in distress. It is all part of the 'This is all in fun' style I like to think I have.

So please don't take me serious.

The point is take what I say on the board with a very large helping of salt.

Humor is refreshing... I have been watching these boards a long time and occasionally post if I can think of something witty or humorous to say. (which is rare) It amazes me how intense it gets in here sometimes. Keep the humor coming!!!!!

I agree with you! Although I consider myself a serious writer (I write for a living), I look at this site as sort of a toy box. And it should be fun. If it wasn't fun I for one wouldn't do it. Maybe, you're right in that we should lighten up a little and not take the voting and the feedback and judgement of stories and poems so seriously. It isn't lfe and death is it? I look at the fun they have in the photo and personal forums and think that the writers could learn a thing or two from them.

By the way, did I tell you the one about the Priest, the Rabbi, and the traveling salesman?
