how old do they look to you?

I'd guess between 13-16 years old, but it's hard to tell with teens.
still, the age they are, and the age they're perceived to be, has an impact on how they should be dealt with, and how they might be dealt with.

I ask because #1, they're described in the post as 'young men', but i'd have described them as kids. and #2, a few months back I saw a report on a study that suggested people overestimated the age of black kids by a significant amount, and this impacted on the way they were treated when they got into trouble.
