that did sound pretty egocentric, didn't it...

On the other hand; this is true, and it's a good thing. It means that a woman who wants to be submissive in a whole-lifestyle way has to do a little bit of soul searching about it before she dumps her ass on some dude. I do not feel sorry for anyone who is forced to think about their choices and come to an apologia. The unexamined life is not worth living.Once more, I congratulate you on your imagination and empathy and willingness to educate yourself.
I have to say, osg is one person that has made me think a lot of these things through and articulate them. This is exactly the kind of thing I wish I was coherent enough to say to osg back when she said that Oprah's message to women of "follow your dreams", "take charge", "live your life", etc. was bad.
-lives vicariously through your intelligence-
Hmm too much tempting fodder here to avoid my verbosity, so I'll just pretend to be answering the fetlife question sans your interesting take on power exchange etc.
Bottom line is he is inquiring as to her preferences and then fulfilling them. His asserting the traditional male role is entirely appropriate, unless he is leashed and in panties and say she's paying. (assuming this was a defined "date" he asked her, expectation is he is paying, does not matter at all whether he thinks he will be getting some or she thinks she should put out..dammit Im doing it..where the hell was I?)
Do NOT even get me started here "misogynistic behavior hiding behind acts of chivalry"

Do I HAVE to train them ALL??
FFS I do go on.![]()
All of you make me think stuff through (you bastards!I have to say, osg is one person that has made me think a lot of these things through and articulate them.![]()
).All of you make me think stuff through (you bastards!).
And I think that I am missing a couple of ingredients in my thought process...such as empathy....hard to empathize with a bunch of letters next to a (silly) picture.
What's more, if one chooses to put somebody else down (for whatever reason), that doesn't mean that the perpetrator is superior, or better for it.Yes, you do go on, and on, and on, and on. To make what point, exactly? That any man who does not treat his partner like an 18th century china doll would necessarily do so only because he is on a leash and wearing panties? What planet do you live on, exactly? Because it sure as hell isn't this one. Here, mature men behave toward women in a civil way that involves them and respects their strength. We're flexible and attend to how our partners prefer to be treated. And, like our cap guns and cowboy hats, we've put aside the notion that we are inherently their superiors and that, due to their inherent weakness, we have to look after them like children.
Nope. You don't HAVE to train a single one of them. In fact-- the world will be better off without your interference.Do I HAVE to train them ALL??
This coming from a sammich! It's even harder to empathize with a cartoon character.![]()

A whole lot of meth, with oxies to take the edge off.
Fried tofu on bread-- seems a little like a potato chip sandwich... redundant yanno?Sorry to disappoint you, Stella, but I despise s'mores.

I have no idea. I found the pic via google a couple years ago when I wanted to tweak someone who had an aversion to tofu.

Fried tofu is one of my favourite things to eat. Yep, it's bland, but in a curiously pleasing way.
Seriously.
Yeah, because unless you can put it into a sound bite it doesn't register with most people.I guess... that's a good thing? :s
Ooo, I have an excellent fried tofu recipe I'll have to share with you CP! And it's so easy even I can cook it.
Sounds like Wasilla!A whole lot of meth, with oxies to take the edge off.
