Geeks, Nerds, Enthusiasts...share your thoughts with me!

just watched a 2hr live stream of a youtube channel I really like playing BG3... Definitely not for me. I liked watching it, due to the personalities of the host, they also have a DnD channel that I enjoy. But I'm much more of a 1st person RPG player.... Now I'm going to restart Skyrim since I finally wrapped up RDR2 yesterday  AM

Yea books are fantastic!! Urban fantasy. Jim butcher is a talented author and story teller. Once you read the books you will understand my distaste for the show. Okay the show wasn’t horrible. But a lot was lost in translation. Butcher was very unhappy when it was done.
I DID like Paul Blackthorn as Harry.

If we're talking books, can I recommend the Thursday Next books from Jasper Fforde (starts with The Eyre Affair)? Actually, even if you say no I'm going to. I really can't recommend them highly enough...

If you like Douglas Adams' skewed outlook on the mundane, you'll probably feel very at home with them
The Iron Druid is a similar theme to Dresden Files that it's fun.

I'd be interested in knowing who you watched, if you're ok sharing that? No worries if not, but I'm always on the lookout for new content 😊

Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra... They are London/Brighton based and part of the Eurogamer umbrella.

I've been watching them for many years.

WolfheartFPS has been my go to for BG 3 info. He has been doing videos for a few years with the prerelease. I haven’t watched much since the game came out because I don’t want any spoilers.

Think I've asked before, but do we have any Classic Wow players here?

Anybody see Blue Beetle this weekend? I was impressed. Fun, lots of heart, wonderful cast. Synthwavey kind of score too. Lots of DC Easter eggs. I was eating it up.

Anyone see The Flash? Even with Keaton, I couldn't bring myself to see it. Really wish they had used Grant Gustin in the movie. Not a fan of this kid....

The movie itself is good. Nice to see Keaton back and I loved Sasha Calle as Supergirl ❤️❤️❤️ But yeah, I don't fault anyone for skipping it due to Miller.

If you don't already know. ESO has a lot of great content such as BG3. I'm pretty sure as soon as I can scrape up the coins I'm going to be buying BG3. :geek:

What's your favourite game/film/TV show? What releases are you looking forward to? Do you have a game subscription that is getting over/under used?

Let's not forget about literature (books/comics/graphic novels etc.) or even the amazing artwork that comes out of these things!

(There was a thread that went *poof* a while back and I haven't seen any others pop up like it)

I'll start: I still haven't finished The Witcher. I've been ill but slowly getting back to normal...maybe I'll have the energy to sit and play again soon.
I find myself going back to shows and movies made before the 2010s. For some reason, more recent shows just haven't caught my attention.

I recently finished up Gundam Wing for the umpteenth time. I'm also rewatching Smallville to coincide with the Talkville Rewatch Podcast by Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum.

I'm also reading A Christmas Carol for the first time. I've seen so many versions of it on tv, I wanted to read the actual story for a change.

I play Mario Kart a lot. My kids love it too but I play for my own amusement mostly. I am more of a Nintendo girl over PlayStation or anything else. I used to love watching friends play games like Skyrim but they give me anxiety so I don't play myself.

I have watched Stranger Things through, I don't even know how many times. I've seen every season old and new of Doctor Who and cannot wait for it all to come to Disney in November. Plus, a new Doctor! 🥰😍

I'm currently watching Locke and Key on Netflix. I've started it a few times but this time I'm finally into it and it's good so far.

I read a lot of Stephen King books. Like others have mentioned, The Dark Tower series is fantastic. I read Fairytale a few months ago and loved it. I try to read at least one of his books every year.

Ummm…does anyone else play really intense games like Warhammer 40k? 🙈
I'm exclusively video games because I've never gelled with people enough to be included in games like this. But also, I love stories and so I don't think this game format suits me. A good RPG has many stories for me to sink my teeth into ❤️

That said, I'm sure there's someone here who does! How often do you play?

I dither about in games like Skyrim so playing Mario Kart is a fun release!

Locke and Key surprised me with how good it is. I hope you continue to enjoy it!

I'm currently reading The Eyre Affair. I haven't read a Stephen King book at all but maybe I will before the year is out
