Answer: In regards to romantic relationships, the physical attraction has to be there from jump. I can (and do) have a number of healthy friendships with emotionally-intelligent men. Those relationships would never develop into anything other than friendship, because the sexual attraction is not there (on either side).
Other than that, the same attributes that are attractive to me in a romantic partner are those that I would want in a normal friendship: emotional maturity, a strong sense of self, "moral" fortitude, someone that is well-read/able to hold conversations on multiple topics, and kind (not nice; there is a difference). Spending time with a person and really getting to understand what makes them tick, their opinions about the world around them, how we align on the things we find important.... that is what allows me to develop a lasting relationship with someone, romantic or not.
I am very much a moderation person most my life has a balance i feel so for extreme aspect i am not sure about that part. But great joy i would say motocycling or snowmobiling for many hours exploring. Also a big thrill was snorkeling naked in the Indian ocean.
