FUCKING DICK SIZE

This IS a site dedicated to erotic fantasy, so...not everything has to be "peer reviewed scholarly article" submission status.

And I say that as a literal practicing scientist. And if I keep practicing, someday? I'll science proper, a right proper Sir Galahad tying a coconut to a swallow science. After all, if the woman weighs the same as a duck, then....she is made of wood, therefore.....??? And this is where I always hit "the wall".
Hmmmm... you sound like a witch!

That size chart is comically bogus and is often referenced by shady companies promoting some bullshit penile enlargement contraption or supplements. I mean, c'mon... 11" of length and 7.5" of girth is supposed to be "Enjoyable"? That's pretty close to being fisted. Seriously, that data is made up and is absolutely ridiculous. And just because it resembles a chart doesn't make it scientific.

The most credible studies on penis size preference show that women's preference is in line with average size (5.6", or whatever). Likewise, the most commonly purchased dildo size is "average." - at least when purchased by women. This does not mean women don't care about size, but it does suggest they prefer average to outliers.

As I've said countless times in countless threads.. I have a huge penis (length is 8 1/8"; girth is 6 1/4" the entire length) and it has NEVER BEEN ANY KIND OF AN ADVANTAGE when having sex. All forms of penetrative sex (oral, vaginal, anal) are rendered uncomforable by my girth, and even when PIV happens, it's far less fun for me and my partner because at least 2" - 3" of me is still outside of my partner when my head hits her cervix - which is unpleasant for both of us! I've even had single night hookups say, "Oh jeez, sorry but it's just a handjob for you - you're so big it's going to be uncomfortable for me." Yeah... not great.

It is interesting that so many men fantasize about having a dick that makes sex painful for women. Hmm... wonder why.
You're right; the chart is interesting, but not the right one for this discussion.

I tried to upload another chart but for some reason it kept disappearing.

This meta-analysis of research found that mean erect girth was 4.67 inches, and mean erect length was 5.44 inches, which seems in line with what I've seen in individual studies. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40248849/

My penis is not as large as yours, but I too, have been with partners who said it's "too big." Not many, but some.

Over seven inches can be incredibly uncomfortable and difficult. And, to be honest, a real myth that guys perpetuate through porn movie regurgitation. Four or five is verrrry sexy and six to seven is VERY big.
Ahem. .

*lowers sunglasses*

Good point. It would be interesting to see just how good we are at measuring by eye.
Not very well, and women overestimate its length as much as men. This was mentioned in a study somewhere... it may be worth googling if curious..

Edit:
It's not entirely surprising that it happens. ..Obviously, men want to think they're bigger than they are and some women want to equate their lovers big dick with their own attractiveness - ie., "I'm so attractive, I can land a guy with a huge dick!"

Sorry, but it's NOT an interesting chart if it's total BS. And if it's BS, how can it be right for ANY discussion about the truth of dick size?

For fuck sake people, don't many of you see a urologist once in a while - especially since most of you are men over 60? ..Well, ask him/ her what is the average size of an erect penis. They will tell you it's well under 6" of length and under 5" of girth. And while you're at it, ask what the average depth of a vagina is and you'll hear it's 3-5". And while it does increase during sexual arousal, even then, the VAST majority of women CANNOT accommodate the entire length of a 7" dick without her cervix being banged which most women (and men) consider uncomfortable.

I'd like to think there is some compelling set of actual, validated facts that can put men's idiotic preoccupation with their dick size to rest but, alas, I don't think there is. We can thank porn for that, I suppose.

It's interesting to me not for the alleged "sweet spots" (the colored squares) but the distribution.

I wish I could get the other chart to upload. It's a solid graph illustrating distribution without the additional stuff.

You and I actually seem to be in agreement here, as far as I can see. I'm arguing against the "size inflation" that happens on this site and everywhere on the internet, and the acceptance of the true distribution of size, and — most importantly — recognition that different partners want different kinds of dicks.

I also don't think it's fair to trash men for their "idiotic preoccupation with their dick size" until, to paraphrase, you've fucked a mile in a someone's penis. Contrary to common understanding, penis display and size obsession is rooted in biology and evolution more than culture (though culture obviously may amplify the phenomenon). Penis display in primates is an almost universal phenomenon in higher primates, which we human males are ... well, most anyway.

Wouldn’t women prefer an average sized erect cock that stayed harder for longer.

Surely that’s a gift that would keep on giving???

Thank you! I make this point frequently, including on here. But far too many (most?) guys seem too stubborn to do what you suggest: Go to the best available science, the data.

Here is a solid chart: https://www.penissizedebate.com/images/doc/penis_size_preference_chart1.gif

Also, it would be great if we could all stop exaggerating our size. Does anyone think someone who actually sees their penis is going to be fooled?

Fuck, we're embarrassing.

What is interesting about this chart is that it addresses female preference as opposed to actual male size. Of course, I have no idea if the chart has any efficacy or is just made up nonsense. But the interesting part is how much men focus on comparing themselves to the average without regard for what women prefer. In most things people don't aspire to be average, but penis size is such a source of insecurity that it seems like guys are just grasping for anything to assuage their insecurities.

Even when guys consider female preferences they seem to want simplified reassuring answers like it doesn't matter at all or we all prefer average. I think the fact is that most women do have size preference ranging from average upward (I'm sure someone prefers less than average but a small %), but it isn't nearly as important as guys imagine. And it is rarely a deciding factor unless it is the size of a thimble or a baseball bat.

ā€œIt doesn’t matter if you hit the bottom of the well as long as you scrape the sides,ā€ as a friend of mine once said. Of course with tissue elasticity the first cock of the night is going to scrape the sides, so we are all good.

If this is something that is bothering you so much, that you have to hop on here to write about it, yoh need to get a hobby lol

And, for your "research" , bigger is good. No discomfort here hon lol
Mammoth? Yeah, probably too much
But bigger than average or whatever, everyday of the week.... and my girlfriends say the same thing
Stamp collecting is a good hobby lol
It's not dick size it's dick length. I have to assume the depth of women are just like the length of men all different.
Women even here will tell you they don't like cervix battering.
If a guy has length and understands this it's all good.

On YouTube search for Rena Malik, MD. She is a Board Certified Urologist and Pelvic Surgeon who hosts many podcasts related to Sex, including this: (no link, just copy the title and search)

How Deep is the Vagina? Urologist Explains Average Vaginal Size (not as big as you think!)

Not that it will convince everyone in this thread but Malik explains that studies from around the world indicate that average vaginal length is just 3.7" with an increase of depth during arousal of b/w 1-2". And while vaginal size varies among women it is actually LESS variable than men's penis size.

Malik also explains that various studies indicate that that the vast majority of women prefer their sex partner to have a penis very near the statistical average, which is under 6" long and less that 5" of girth, including a look at the size of sex toy's purchased by women.

She has an impressive array of other videos that provide an evidence-based take on all sorts of sexual subjects including Squirting, Ejaculation volume, Penis enlargement, etc... They are all very sex-positive while also (mostly) refuting most of the tropes that are perpetuated by Porn and are claimed on kink sites like Literotica.

Despite the small sample size (about 20 cocks), my wife's research has reflected science. There has been one larger than the average range and one much smaller, but all others were ...well, about average.

Long ones, skinny ones,
Short ones, girthy ones
Hard ones, shaven ones
Soft ones, hairy ones
Latex covered, Non performers,
Bareback riders, all night roarers,
They're all just a bunch of dicks

White ones brown ones
Brown from anal Town ones
Cut one's, caged ones,
Uncut ones, unslaved ones,
Wet ones, clean ones,
Dry ones and diseased ones
They're all different but they're all still just a bunch of dicks...

His ones called a cock, his ones called a willy, at times they both stand proud and tall.
His ones called a phallus, his one is quite chilly, it's cold and it shrivelled so small.
His ones called a schlong, his ones called a penis, they're both quite a hit with the chicks,
But no matter how large thick or hairy they are, they're still just a bunch of dicks...
