In slang used in gay society.........

A troll could mean that mean little creature under the bridge that ate all the pretty little billy goats.

When talking online though it can often mean people (mostly males) go trolling, which is said is a guy post to a news group whith a (beautiful female picture) saying he is a woman. In turn he tries to get you to send photographs giving him good amateur photos for whatever purpose. This could be done by the opposite gender! Maybe this is what you meant and maybe not either way I hope you found you definition.
