For those who post in colored fonts:

I put 'em on ignore Myst. No big deal.

I got people who have requested I put them on ignore and people who consistently post in colored fonts. If they want to post that way, so be it.

Thanks for the concern, sis. :) Love you.

I only post in color when it is appropriate...

Like in your post for Scylis, I was emulating the print on Neo's screen in the early part of the movie.

Didn't several people suggest on the initial thread where this concern was posted that there is a way to make all of the graphics on your computer screen grayscale?

Thanks for the heads up Myst. I've never posted in color before, and I definately won't now.

Photosensitive Seizure Warning
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while watching video games.

These seizures may have a variety of symptoms, including lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness. Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects.

Immediately stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Parents should watch for or ask their children about the above symptoms - children and teenagers are more likely than adults to experience these seizures.

The risk of photosensitive epileptic seizures may be reduced by taking the following precautions:
Play in a well-lit room
Do not play when you are drowsy or fatigued

many sites have now posted warnings.

:)

hmm.. When I play console based videogames for a few hours straight and then stop I tend to feel a little lightheaded and my arms and legs can be a little shaky.. Is this epilepsy or have I just been playing videogames too damn long and my mind and body are reacting?

registered "^^" For little Ms political correct.

Oh!

Is it now out of fashion to show caring for a friend and express concern?

I must have missed that update to my Rules of Life manual.

Being totally honest...I'm not really sure HOW to get my font in a color.

Additionally, who would want to inentionally alienate KM. I mean, with tatas like that, why ruin your chance of ever seeing them again.

Plus, she has weapons. :)

Somehow, I don't think two words in over 5000 will offend Muff. I think the truly irksome are those who post entire threads in color.

Neither would one bullet. Hope her hand is shaking when she sights you in!

Sorry, registered

I'm glad, though, that my interpretation was wrong.

Just dropping by...

I have epilepsy as well. Colored fonts do not affect people with apilepsy whatsoever, though flashing lights, florescent lights and other movements presented in complex mathematical patterns do. The cause of the seizures from playing on computers or video games is not anything like colored fonts. It is from the tiny patterns of moving lights that make a monitor work. If you use an LCD monitor as found on laptops, this will not happen. If colored fonts cause seizures you will have a hard time surfing web pages, which you obviously do not.

Why don't we all just ask Laurel and Manu to make the board black and white for Killer. There should be no option for any color that could bother her. Avs should be eliminated as well as sig lines. Maybe only one font choice should be available as well.

I am evil.

It just occurred to me that not only can I not spell tonight, but that my post on this thread may have came off bitchy. That was not my intention.

This message brought to you by the letters C, U, N and T.

I agree, totally.

I don't think you're being a cunt at all. I think you brought up a very valid point as a matter of fact. Killer says she cruises the web - today she was looking at porn sites. Last time I looked, those sites used a lot of colored fonts, not to mention flashing images!

How come only the colored fonts at lit bother her?

I, for one am curious.

It's not the colored fonts. It's the bright colors against the background coupled with the flash rate of the monitor. I can skim past a few colors in a post. It's hard to skim past a long post full of pink. Most webpages and pictures are designed to be attractive so the colors blend.

It's interesting how people can stare at videogames and anime all day and then one day watch one or two with certain color combinations and have seizures. Maybe you should hit up some documentation at efa.org about that. You may also want to learn about the program that rates webpages for people with disabilities. It's not the guys in wheelchairs they're doing it for.

So, Rube, you trying to accuse me of faking epilepsy? Spit your shit out, don't just sit there and make snide ass holier than thou comments with that little ah-hah in your voice. You wanna tangle, then lets get to it. Even though you're easy meat, I need to get to bed pretty soon.

Just curious like I said, Killer. I'll check out the site. And no, I'm not accusing you of faking anything. You probably don't recall, but I was one of the people who posted on your original thread on this matter. You, however, ignored everybody who replied to you with compassion or understanding, and instead ripped into some fucking troll.

Easy meat? How do you rate that? Isn't everybody easy meat to you, babe?
