For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Denmark Signs Deal with Nammo to Produce Shells

Denmark has signed a contract with the Norwegian-Finnish defense company Nammo for shell production. The Hartpunkt newspaper reported that the shells will be produced at a plant in Northern Jutland. The Danish Ministry of Defense has announced that it will buy back the former Ammunitionsarsenalet ammunition plant, locally known as Krudten (Powder Plant) in Northern Jutland. Denmark sold the 17th-century AMA plant in 2008 for €2.41 million to Spanish ammunition manufacturer Expal. The plant continued to produce weapons and provide services to the country’s Ministry of Defense as one of its main customers. This lasted until 2020, when, after several years of losses, EXPAL decided to shut down the facility and liquidate it entirely.

Denmark bought the plant back in 2023. A tendering process for a company to set up manufactiuring and prouce ammo ran thru 2024 and this has now been signed with NAMMO. It will probably take two years to establish ammo production from scratch, meaning this is no fast fix.

LOL I really came here this morning to post this and got diverted. Harri makes a really good point. Ukraine is vastly out-innovating the US, and anyone else right now, on crucial drone technology and how to integrate this into the military. They have expanded from ad-hic drone teams to platoons, companies, battalions, and are now creating Drone Brigades integrated and working with the front-line combat units.

The U.S. is stuck in outdated thinking while Ukraine has built one of the most advanced and experienced armies in the world. A $300 drone can take out a $10 million M1 Abrams tank. And they’ve done this under war, under constant bombardment and incessant Russian offensives. Meanwhile, the U.S. spends $800 billion just maintaining its aging military structure—designed for the wars of the last century.

Losing US support will be painful, but it will not make a difference to Ukraine's survival now - they have had a 3 year window to gear up. There are obviously still many major issues to address and fix, but they will get there.

Tempers running hot. 🔥 The Ukrainian ambassador covering her face with her hands is quite a sight.
Not as much of a sight as Trump and Vance....but you think this a good look for the us....( your country doesn't deserve capital letters anymore).

The fake news was that there was credible evidence that Trump was conspiring with Russia. We now know it was a complete fabrication, sponsored by the Clinton campaign and peddled by corporate media.
This little TV show kind of points to a bit of conspiracy eh? Why else was Trump defending Russia?

In retrospect, Zelenskyy was set up. Trump and Vance needed a reason to distance themselves from Ukraine and flip American MAGA opinion more firmly in favor of Russia. Up next; Exiting NATO.
Exactly - straight off the jerry springer show

You have no clue. The war is lost and has been for some time. You should probably learn how to communicate as well.
Just because you gave up in Vietnam doesn't mean Ukraine is giving up in 2025.
You've been predicting the imminent collapse of Ukraine on a near-daily basis for over two years now.
Yet Ukraine soldiers on.
You might want to reconsider your life choices.

Interesting question raised by a top White House official: How did the entire world get to see the exchange in the Oval Office without the Associated Press there?
Security was so lax that a TASS reporter on the 'Banned list' simply waltzed into the Oval Office yesterday.

He only got caught because a sharp-eyed American pool reporter recognized his face and nudged a WH communications official and whispered 'What is HE doing here?" Official turned white and hastily escorted Russian agent from the room, confiscating his shiny VIP pass.

How did this guy get within 10 yards of both the President and Vice President? I'm sure he had to go through a metal detectors, but don't Russian assassins use ricin poison darts through blowguns nowadays?

I suspect he got his badge from Comrade Tulsi.

I have to admit, there are a few more Ukrainian lives left to kill and some cities and towns that haven't been flattened so feel free to soldier on from the safety of your front room. The outcome of the war was apparent from the beginning. There was never any hope of Ukraine prevailing over the world's largest nuclear arsenal with four times the population and superior manufacturing resources. In your delusional state you might want to take a look at a map and understand the Ukrainians have not moved the Russians off of the terrain they initially invaded and have actually lost additional strategic ground to Russian forces.

PS: My original prediction is right on.

So your recipe is to not fight for your right to be an independent country when you are attacked?
Does that apply to USA as well?

it's worth remembering Afghan militia held out against the most lethal armed force in history (the USA) for 19 years and 10 months before America decided the prize was not worth the casualties.

Soviets had similar experience in Afghanistan in the early 1980s too.

Taliban should start their own international protection racket.

Zelensky: “ that’s it… fuck you, I’m calling Mohammed “the beard” Mohammed over at the Kabul Tea Company”

That's not it at all, half their population has left the country probably never to return. In the East there's little to return to. If the Ukrainians want to fight to the last man, that's up to them but the American people aren't going to help them destroy themselves in horrendous detail. This is a European problem. The European Union together has four times the population of Russia, superior technology, and manufacturing capability. If the outcome in Ukraine is important to Europe let them raise an army of sufficient size to fight the Russians and expel them from Ukraine. Americans are pretty much done with our 80 years of defending Europe and borrowing the money to do so and handing the bill to our grand children. Especially when many on the continent don't appreciate it and screw us every chance they get.

Alexander The Great and the British had problems in Afghanistan too, but few read history. I have never been a fan of the Russians but I do read history. The are not like us, or the rest of Europe. They do not look at life like the rest of the civilized world does. Ask the Germans, they know. Ask them how many Russians they had to kill before they themselves found themselves utterly defeated at Stalingrad. Ask the French if they want to get into a land war on the Russian steppes. The fact is the human costs of such travesties are incomprehensible in the modern age. There is no doubt the Russians must be deterred with peaceful coexistence is the only viable answer. We have to find a way to pull Russia away from China and into the European economic sphere.

Russia is outpacing NATO in arms production.

Yes...it turns out when your entire economy is geared towards making weapons of war rather than feeding and caring for your citizens, you tend to speed things up. Obviously the US should do the same 👍

All the Ukrainian I've met and talked to are very thankful for the help we provide to them and wants to return and build up again their own country.
Yes we are and yes we have. But you don't turn produktion around into war production overnight if you're not a dictator. We had a agreement with the USA and look now who screws who.
But don't worry. We will manage somehow or die trying. Freedom is quite important to us over here.

Just stating a fact, your commentary isn't needed.
