Keeping me very busy and last night while the wife was out by the pool a coyote jumped the fence and started drinking from the jacuzzi. She tried to chase it off but it wasn't concerned at all and about a half hour later it brought back the pack!

We have quail and roadrunners, Cooper hawks and red tailed hawks to watch.

The coyotes began showing up Friday but waited until we were in the house until yesterday and with the record heat I guess their natural water sources have dried up. But at least the rabbits are staying in the hills and are afraid of eating my lawn now.

I'm thinking about installing a pond in the front yard for their use so we lessen the chances of an encounter that requires my intervention.

I would rather watch the wildlife than destroy it. Besides, 4 years ago this was all open land that they controlled.

Or you could set up a coyote militia to guard the perimeter, with uzis and ak47s. that's subtle. enjoy the wildlife, and blow shit up too best of both worlds
