I agree completely. That would be like putting ketchup on a Ted's Hot Dog instead of the hot sauce or asking for a Mighty Taco with something as run of the mill as Tabasco. (By the way, did you know that there is a Theodore's on the Island started by a member of Ted's family that wants to run his own hot dog shop?)

I have boycotted BW3 since they dropped the weck. Oh, and this place in Orlando doesn't know about the au jus.

There's a wings and wienies here where I can get Sahlen's, but no TRH sauce. I am so with you about Tabasco.

If you google "Charlie the Butcher" and weck, there's a nice recipe on how to turn a hardroll into a weck. It's a reasonable facsimile.

No jus????? WTF, Over? Do I need to go there with my pet Buffalo and kick some ass?

This is the chicken korma dish I made last week. It was so freakin' delicious (and I even substituted fat-free or low-fat ingredients were I could!). I don't know how well it freezes, but I'm going to find out since there's a plastic container of it in my freezer right now, along with two containers of homemade chili and two containers of my other favourite dish to make:

Moroccan chicken tagine. So freakin' amazing! :D

In this thread we post pictures of food. They can be sexy or just yummy. Stuff you prepared or want to prepare. It's all about the food.

If you want to post recipes, that'd be good too.

Here's what I cooked up today.

Bacon Wrapped Porterhouse Steak
Grilled Veggies and Potatoes
Grilled Fruit Salsa (plum, peach, cayenne, onion and pineapple)

Nice Thread BBB!

I'll add some good stuff . . . .

Here's my BBQ Sauce - I've been working on and fine-tuning this one for years.

Barbeque Sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 small onions minced
1 tsp garlic powder
4 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp molasses
1-1/2 Tbsp dry mustard
1 tsp Chili powder
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper

Corn and Tomato Salad

http://search.chow.com/thumbnail/480/0/www.chow.com/assets/2009/07/corn_tomato_salad_600.jpg

Here in the Midwest, it's the perfect time of year for this. I've made it several times. Eat it with a fork or on corn chips. The salad can be made up to 8 hours ahead, though you may want to mix the basil in at the last minute so it doesn’t wilt or discolor.

INGREDIENTS
5 cups sweet white corn kernels (from about 7 to 8 medium cobs)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 10-ounce container cherry or pear tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup small-dice red onion
1/4 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare an ice water bath by filling a large bowl halfway with ice and water; set aside. Bring a large pot of heavily salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the corn kernels and cook until tender, about 4 minutes. Drain and place in the ice water bath until cool, about 4 minutes.

Combine the lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a large, nonreactive bowl. While continuously whisking, add the oil in a steady stream until completely incorporated. Add the remaining ingredients and the cooled corn and toss until well coated. Serve.
