Fishing

A friend of ours built a cabin (actually more like a large house) at the point of Shelter Island. He and his wife live here year-round. They've got a windmill and solar panels for power and very rarely use the gas generator. The home is to the right, unfortunately it doesn't show in the picture.

This is how I'd like to retire.

I don't really know what fishing out here in Arizona is like...but I'd love to get back to freshwater fishing when I'm back in New England. While relatively young, I still hold fast hope that when I can retire, I can build a little place on a decent spread of land in New England and fish to my hearts content.

Go up to Payson. There are creeks there worth fishing. Travel up beeline hang a right. Hit past Knoll's Ranch. Good fishing.

Darn PDA's.

I was treated to a couple of really nice salmon steaks yesterday. They are too good to share, so don't be asking. :)

As long as they weren't "farmed salmon". That stuff isn't allowed past my lips.

I have trouble with farmed fish too. Not enough water circulating and a huge amout of toxins built up. No, a friend caught them off the coast, with a real pole and line.

Have a great time! We want photos!
You want pictures of my bluegills? :)

Just got everything unpacked, visited the grocery store in town, and sat down to find out if the wireless service around here improved any since last year. So far, it's speedy!

your country is on my list of places to visit....

are mornings sepia toned there?

Ha, no they're not, it's just me trying to be all artsy.

In truth, the camera didn't really capture the light all that well so I thought turning the pics duo-toned might help add a little bit to them.

I'll leave the artsy stuff to others. I've pretty much got no artsy talents.

But good to know there is color in the mornings, down under.

It's hard to capture decent colour on on a crappy fliterless camera when you point it directly into the sun, you end up with a lot of blackness, thus the conversion to duo-tone.
