First Munch Tips?

That is why you need to go where you can learn and experience it. On the 10th I am planning on learning about wax play and then the following Monday on the topic of Fire and Ice. Someone says that the presenter has a good and interesting panel. I also desire to be a volunteer just to see how far I will go and see just what I like. I guess it might be a blessing to be so virginal and willing, I want to experience as much as I can.

I'll get around to it, don't you worry. I have time and more than enough time, I'm in no big hurry.

It isn't as if sex and it's assorted play is going out of fashion or anything.

I think our next much is next sunday so coolness there... I was going to pass up tonights demo on corseting but I will go to a meeting at 5 pm unannounced for volunteers. No I did not sign up like a good little boy but I am sure they won't have to many issue with it either.

So what was tonight about corsets and waist training and such. I will say it was nice to look at and hear about but not really my thing. So now my hope rests on wax play, though when I left one of the ladies there said because I have a chain wallet to 2 long chains on it I might make an interesting prisoner in a scene if I was a bottom so maybe this wedsady I can finish up the discussion, I had to leave to catch the bus back home.

Anyway I just wanted to thank Fury for starting this thread. I'm in a similar situation with a husband who isn't as interested in D/s as I am and your posts gave me a lot to think about. Munches are a little farther away for us... about 3 hours but he has mentioned he'd go so I guess I'm the chicken. Who knows maybe I'll be posting my first munch experiences next.

I'm so glad you've felt this thread is useful to you! *hug* That makes me very happy to hear!

Once you start posting, it usually becomes addictive. Well, at least, it did for me!

It took me a loooong time to go to a Munch too but I'm glad I did now. I can't wait to go to more demos and such!

Just remember don't try to go too far too fast. These things take time to get used to the idea of sometimes. I found myself "trying to run before I learned to walk" on a lot of things BDSM wise.

Well it certainly sounds as if you are getting play now! Good for you. I would have thought it might take longer.

She said it out of the blue and then got distracted talking to one of the guys that help demo the corsets. So my hope is to reengage her and see if she was serious, also when I was at the munch it seemed she had someone so maybe he was just brainstorming.

The one thing is until I go to a newbie night I am not sure I will want to play. What if she breaks out floggers I'm not sure I want to see just how far I can go with that many people watching, maybe its a pride thing or a bit of fear. The newbie party is open only to those that are a member less then 1 year and dungeon masters and the ambassadors that will help show us how to play with whatever toys.

Did the wax play thing and all I can really say its hot. But really its not too bad solo but I want to try and combine wax and needle play they say that when you do you can create wierd patterns with your blood. The upside of wax play is its cheap and easily done solo.The other nice thing is hot wax does inflict a nice measure of pain and some candles burn hotter then others, so all in all I will add this to my list of things to wash and repeat on a regular basis.

I've tried wax before; I wouldn't say I'd never do it again, but I'm not so sure I actually enjoyed it. It might have been that it was a particularly hot candle, I don't know. It was certainly interesting though!

Its just a very cheap solo way to play, 88 cents for a candle at wally world how much cheaper can it get??

The type of candle used is a very important thing in wax play. Paraffin is recommended, I believe. I hear colored candles can burn hotter. Just picking up any old candle, (like I have done) particularly scented or colored ones can put you in a world of not so great hurt.

Also, I find that dripping wax alone is wonderful but I think it feels more intense when someone else is in control of things. Then again that could also have happened because I had NO idea what kind of candle we used that time.

The candles we used were about 5 or 6 inches long white unscented from Ikea. We had some of those religious candles in glass and 3 voitre(sp) candles in a holder. The pillar candles for the most part burned hotter, it was red, but part way down it was truely white inside so... The guy leading the demo got all his candles from Ikea and a 99 cent store so Fury if you have an Ikea store near where you live that would be a good place to buy some for decent price. A word of caution one of the ladies got some from there that had a square glass base and half way through the candle it started to spark, she should us where it had burned her, so just be careful. I would rather do wax play with someone else in control but I am missing her so I must make do with what tools I have laying about.

ah candles, something I've actually played with a little, though mostly on self. One way to control the heat is to vary the distance from the skin. plus its a lovely mind fuck to watch the drops fall. Sorry if this has already been mentioned I read through but I'm a little past my bedtime here.
