Im new to the BDSM scene and was just wondering how did you first get interested in the lifestyle?

I've never really gave it much thought till a close guy friend told me he's a masochist and told me his experiences w/ BDSM. I wanted to learn more so I did a little research and found it very intriguing and exciting.

What drew me to BDSM?

Read far to much as a kid and still do. At 15 was given my first copy of "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" a fictionally variation on the classic sleeping beauty theme. While not an accurate representation, it was one that struck a cord in me. Especially the character Laurent in the third book and his newfound role by the end of it.

Fast forward a few years, found Lit while bored outta my mind, one thing lead to another and I ended up writing along in the Cafe Chateau along with many other talented people here. *smiles fondly*
From there, it was looking into myself and realizing I wanted this, I have this strong desire to have someone before me, my marks upon thier flesh, thier cries in my ears. And that desire is okay (grew up in the South, took a while to figure it was okay). Since then I've been researching and hunting for information.
And now I hunt for a partner to learn more with together.

Basically, it has 'always' been there. I remember reading my brothers porn magazines when I was like 10 or 11, and it was always the scenes containing elements of forced sex that caught my attention.
My masturbation fantasies were always about 'kinky' scenarios, like groups, much older women teaching me to please them in front of their husbands, keeping a girl as prisoner / slave, etc.
My sexual debut (intercourse-wise) at the age of 12 was a strictly vanilla thing, though

My first real D/s experience was at the age of 19, with my 16-year old girlfriend. After that, I knew there was no going back
