Finding a Dom in a small town?

Nice. You have talent. The silver plated ring pretty much gives it away as a sub collar.

Thanks, DV. I've been wearing it all day and I haven't been driven out of town as the heathen slut. Yet.

I love it :) I believe that it looks mostly normal, except for the ring- that's what really sets it apart. I know my Sir was looking into getting me a nicer choker soon, but if he hasn't gotten one yet, would you be interested in crafting another similar to that?

Yes, I'd love to craft some for others...PM me. I'd want to use materials that were symbolic for you, your relationship and what you want to express.

Me, I'm a pink, girly girl (pink lace), delicate in spirit (glass beads), intertwined (braided) with my BDSM side (black leather).

Great Idea and you are very talented... The only reservation I would have is that the collar is probably the most universal symbol of this lifestyle. There are many more men that would recognise that than there are Doms I am afraid. Myabe make sure the rest of the outfit is appropriate to the choker and it might escape the notice of the "scary crowd".

If you were still worried about it symbolising that you were off the market, maybe a small padlock somewhere in the design ... unlocked of course

I like the idea of the small unlocked padlock! :)

Hmm. I'll have to check the bead shops to see if they make one unlocked. Good idea!
I doubt that they do, but those charms are soft metal anyway-- you can probably cut through the little molded hasp with a wire clipper and use an emery board to smooth the edges.

This is the only one I could find, in 14k gold: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/bluedolphingold_2208_101287881

I like Stella's idea, too!
It's just my opinion, but I don't think you need to worry about this. If you had a lock in the silver ring, I'd see how that would be seen as you being taken. And maybe you could somehow put an unlocked lock in that ring, but if you ask me, the absence of any lock, just the ring itself would show me that you are available. It looks like someplace that a leash would be attached, and because there is no leash, you are available. Maybe this is just my take on the whole idea.

Now, if you are looking to say you are attached, replacing the ring with a locked padlock pendent would be what I'd understand.
